Nifter Media, whoever they are, posted a video of one of Cindy Anthony's interviews with police on YouTube. It comes in six indigestible segments, and I figured rather than make any more comment on the case today (because y'all know how I feel about this case -- it's number one on the list of things that make me go EWWW....) I'd just post all six segments with a little explanation below each segment as to what you're seeing. Part 1 is below. Check out parts 2-6 -- if you can stand them -- after the jump.
Cindy drops some of the spin in these interviews. They may be a fascinating look at all the thoughts she's currently tucking in the back of her head in her state of willful denial...
This is again Cindy talking about more of Casey's lies. She was apparently an old hand at dealing with her pretty daughter's astonishing capacity for spreading acres and acres of bullshit.
The interview has become a little more confrontational, here.
My impression so far is that Cindy is trying to be as straight as she can be with the cop. This makes her willingness to buy into Casey's lies all the more puzzling. Did the glare of the media spotlight harden her resolve, somehow?
If things were relatively civil at the beginning, that's all gone by now. No real fireworks, but it is clear that the detective is trying to separate the bullshit from the truth. Cindy Anthony reverts early in the video to the pity party approach -- "I lost my granddaughter, I lost my granddaughter..."
Cindy, overall, comes clean in this interview as to what she's really thinking about many aspects of the case. I almost wish she came across as more sympathetic, but she doesn't. She accuses the police of thinking she's a "freaking lunatic," and she comes across in many ways as just evasive, whiny, and overall, bound and determined to see that her daughter answers for nothing.
I watched cindys police vieo interview and did i hear right..........listen and see if its what she said.......when the detective said,cindy youre a nurse and you know what dead bodies smell like and she says......i think??..................and i know what burnt bodies smell like!!!!

I mean if all she smelled was the car......whyd she say that ? common sence would tell you that casey wouldnt put the body in the car after it was burnt.....right?

I think Cindy is devastated by the loss of her granddaughter and doesn't physically know where Caylee is....however it has become pretty clear where Casey aquired her ability to "spin".
Steve, have you done your own research for on-line tracks of Casey and all of her many "friends"? Rev. Richard Grunds on-line presence is fascinating. Any chance of finding out why Jessie Grund and LE came to "mutual" decision for him to leave his Orlando LE position? I know you are sick of the case but you are so good at finding all of the on-line links.....I'm just sayin!!!

I think after all we have seen Cindy is clearly lying. She knows more then she is telling and she is obstructing Justice. She even tried to help her daughter escape after the murder indictment. She has lied under oath . I hope everyone who reads this will sign the petition to the link I left above.This is about a missing beautiful little girl. That it seems her family don't really want Justice for. However we as the public are outraged. Thats sad too people who don't even and now never will know her. Care more then her own family.

And now she's starting up a non-profit to "look" for Caylee? How about telling her daughter to fess up or she's REALLY going to lose her family!
She's also gone out of her way to lie and berate others who tried to help. AND pin this on Jesse and Amy? Far cry from the car-stealing, money-thieving daughter she was on July 15th...

Posted 11/04/2008 at 06:03:54 AMWe should not throw stones! The family is in turmoil. I don't know of anyone who would want to walk in any of their shoes right now. It is too easy to sit back and judge while it is someone else who is suffering! George and Cindy are devastated , they do not want to think of their daughter as a murderer! They will come to grips in their time. Let's pray for the family as a whole and try to put ourselves in their shoes for just a moment! I think we would all be in denial if it were our child!
