Teen strangled, slit 9-year-old's throat
True Crime Report reader "oxfordmom" left a comment on a previous post about the disappearance of Stem, NC mother of two Kelly Currin Morris:
Just got the Butner Creedmoor News, and they have a pic if Scott Morris on the front page and Kelly's Honda, appears to be exactly as they found it in the undeveloped subdivision. This report states that the husbands vehicles have been impounded (Wednesday) for investigation, sorry I dont think this small paper has a website for a link to pic.
Investigators went back to the burned-out home Kelly Morris shared with her husband Scott and their two children on Thursday. Granville County Sheriff David Smith told local media that the police are seeking any clues that might have been missed.
A Raleigh-Durham TV station reported that Kelly's family has hired search dogs from a private company to help find any sign of Kelly in the dense woods surrounding the home.
William Scott Morris is a person of interest in his wife's disappearance. Allegations that he "got away with murder" 8 years ago have yet to be proven.
If you think you have information that can help bring Kelly Currin Morris home to her children, call the Granville County Sheriff at 919-693-3213.

what i don't get, is why haven't they arrested him for atleast arson. maybe if he had to actually spend some time in jail, he would confess to killing his wife. and as for the "allegations", i know several of his so called friends and he did run someone over 8 years ago. they just decided not to press charges.
Posted 09/23/2008 at 09:53:23 AMi think he is a sick, controlling individual. he didn't like the fact that she was leaving him, and if she was cheating, so what, probably bc she was miserable in her relationship with him and scared of what he might do if she left. well, it seems her worst fears came true - i just hope those in the granville county sheriffs department (which I know one very good detective there) find all the evidence they need to put him away for life.
It is no surprise to me that he hasn't been arrested. They never arrested the man that my daughter accused of molesting her. This same individual molested me as a child and I even gave a written statement to that fact. I was born and raised in Granville County and I love it here, but the laws in this country are twisted. In my case, the DA was the reason there was nothing done, we were told due to "lack of evidence", we would never win in trial. My personal opinion, if you are a "person of interest" in a possible felony, you should be detained during the investigation. I think the same way that you do, take them to jail and I bet they break and tell everything. I just hope for the family's sake that they find her very soon.
