Man kills serial pedophile
Video via BlackTubeChannel on YouTube.
So, you drag a kid onto the subway and you ride a while. Just relaxing, standing there, you and the boy.
Then at some point you decide the child needs to sit with a dude nearby, because you've got a project in mind.
Your project? Take that hammer you've got tucked away in the backpack, beside the sippy-cup and the graham crackers, perhaps, and beat the ever-loving snot out of some innocent dude sleeping in a seat beside you.
The man attacked in the video above, the sleeping dude who received the rudest of rude awakenings, is DeWayne Taylor, age 20. Speaking to a Philadelphia Fox affiliate, Taylor said he was hit by the hammer in his head, neck and hand. "I got seven staples in my head, six stitches in the back of my neck and a broken finger," Taylor said.
Taylor's attacker, who has allegedly been identified and will soon be arrested, apparently yelled something about Allah as he whaled on the victim.
Remarkably, none of the passengers who witnessed the attack on Taylor did anything to help him. They didn't call 911. I'd think you might want to go ahead and consider snitching on a crazy dude who shouts about Allah while he batters some innocent guy with a hammer, but what do I know?
I know that the next time I ride the train or subway for anything, I damn sure won't be taking a nap.

My God. Nobody did anything.

Posted 09/09/2008 at 06:56:43 PMAnyone remember Kitty Genovese?
Posted 09/09/2008 at 07:12:04 PMIncredible -- no one made any attempt to help this poor man.
Posted 09/09/2008 at 09:31:56 PMI read that after no one did anything to help, a fellow passenger stole the victims cellphone and sold it on the street.
Beyond sad and despicable.
Posted 09/09/2008 at 10:10:53 PMThe first thing I thought about was the Kitty Genovese story. That, and what happened with Mr. Hammer is similar indeed.
You know, it's too bad you folks in NY don't have a concealed carry law. Mr. Hammer might have ended up without a head!
Posted 09/09/2008 at 10:12:20 PMOMG, that's horrifying - not just the attack, which is bad enough, but the fact that no one helped. Some of those guys who walked away looked big enough to subdue the Hammer attacker. What's wrong with people that they don't come to someone's aid???
Posted 09/10/2008 at 02:19:38 AMThe same people who are seen on camera saying, "The violence has got to stop!" are the same people who got up and walked away in this video. No action, all talk. The man only had a hammer and there were ten of them! If I remember correctly, Richard Reid, the shoe bomber, was twice this guy's size and people took him down!
The ignorant, selfish idiots that live in Philly won't lift a finger if it doesn't serve their own good. It's days like this that I'm ashamed to call Philly my home.
Posted 09/10/2008 at 07:04:45 AMHow awful. Did it say what happened to the kid? He ran away with everyone else, and I don't see him somehow meeting back up with the attacker after the attack.
Posted 09/10/2008 at 10:11:18 AMThis is yet another example in support of law-abiding citizens the right carry a concealed firearm in public and own mass transit. If just one citizen was carrying at that moment they could have quickly stopped the attack.
From the reports, this attack lasted 5 minutes. Where were the cops? According to a statement made by Nobama that only cops should legally carrying a gun, that law-abiding citizens should not. I thought the all-seeing, all-knowing, omnipresent cops should have immediately swooped down from the sky like Batman to save this innocent American, no?
In the make believe world of so called 'gun free' zones innocent Americans are being assaulted and murdered.
If you are law-abiding (a vast majority of Americans are) and an adult please reconsider owning a firearm for your and your family's personal protection. Start off by going to a local shooting range. If you have a friend that you know owns a gun, ask them to teach you. I bet 99% of those people would be more than happy to educate you in firearm safety and might even treat to you a free afternoon at the range.
Good people, know matter which way you vote, deserve the basic God-given right of self-defense. The 2nd Amendment to our United States Constitution (and a majority of State Constitution) codifies that right that pre-dated our country.

Guns saves--
You make a good point. The police rarely stop murders from happening. A woman once asked me if she thought a restraining order would keep her safe from a violent EX and I said no. Instead, I said, you need to purchase a pistol and learn how to use it; that if you wait for the authorities to help you they'll be very careful as they tag you and bag you, but they can't stop someone from killing you if that person really wants to do it. That's your job, I told her.
Posted 09/10/2008 at 03:15:52 PMAround 13 yrs ago, I was socked in the face from behind while riding the subway in Chicago. The blow was so hard, I thought someone hit me with a steel briefcase while walking by or something metal fell from the ceiling and hit my face. My red ear muffs flew off my head. I didn't know what happened and I asked a couple of times to the full car if anyone saw anything. No response. That's because the chick who socked me was still on the car and everyone was afraid. But, I'll never forget the hostile looks on some of the faces around me. I knew that they would never help anyone. I went to the ER and luckily, nothing was broken. I had a small circle of a bruise on my cheek for several weeks. The ticket agent, who called the police for me, told me she had gotten hit in the face quite a few times by the public. I think I was attacked because I was wearing gang colors: red earmuffs and a black coat. But, who knows, it could've been entirely random. I quit riding the subway after 8pm. Using a hammer reminds me of Ted Bundy.
