My mother was told by one of the family members that the grandma of Cole recieved two messages from Clemens on her cell phone. I'm not sure if it's true or not, i'll be sure to find that out.

This story has deeply saddened me. I pray for this young boy, and for his family. How can anyone prey on the innocent like this? Disgusting, absolutely disgusting.

If anyone at all knows how to contact these people or more importantly Coles grandfather - please do whatever you can to do so. Be brave, there is no time for second guessing!

Well, he is more useful to the cartel alive than dead, not that that should be comforting to anyone. These cases are pretty common in Mexico, they'll make their demand and if grandpa or the feds front the cash the victim will most likely turn up alive, if they don't then they will still keep him alive but start torturing him to try to escalate the cash flow. Most likely the kidnappers are paid mercenaries from Mexico, which would mean they won't feel compelled to kill or harm the kid unless ordered to do so by their masters.

Another note: Wait a second, an international meth smuggling operation? I thought the whole point of meth was that Billie-Joe and Bobby-Jean can brew it in their basement, explosion and toxicity related accidental deaths aside... This seems like one of the least likely drugs to be smuggled over the border.

Mexico has no regulations -- thus its easy for the cartels to buy the ingredients and make a LOT of it. They are in the business of making money, and meth sells. Like hotcakes, apparently.

That's exactly it, Tam. US regulation of over the counter cold remedies really has helped curb US production of Meth, but the same regulations dont exist south of the border. Here's just one article about it.

It is true that they do now know that the grandfather is aware of the kidnapping and has been trying to call around (not sure to whom) to find out what happened

I have been sending up MANY prayers for this little boy. I have a six year old little blonde haired blue eyed boy, and it just tears me up to read this. I pray for him constantly, and hope others are doing the same. Now, what I wanted to say was immediately send an email to everyone in your address book, you're not being abnoxious with you loooong list, just do it! Put the info, the picture of the boy and his grandfathers picture and info in it and hit send. Don't forget to tell them to send it to everyone they know. I had heard of this case in passing, but not everyone knows when an amber alert goes out. We people of the US need to band together against this, and use our power of 'gab' to flood the cyber space with email all over and posts on every message board about these things so the kids are found before long. So, please don't hesitate do it now!

Why does this whole story look like total BS to me? None of it makes sense. Clemens Tinnemeyer looks like an undercover cop to me and this whole thing was a set up to get him out. If real Cartel people had shown up at the house, Cole would have been dead on the floor with his mother and her boyfriend.

Sad that this guy could let his own Grandson get taken like this. Las Vegas is dangerous enough. Then start dealing with meth and mexican cartels is just raising the odds against you. The boy is lucky not to be murdered gruesomely with this kinda trash in charge of his life.
