Pedophile politician's $150,000 bribery scheme

Las Vegas Police Captain Vincent Cannito said during a news conference on Wednesday evening that Cole Puffinburger's "family was targeted in the attack." Cannito also said that Puffinburger's family was not involved in the little boy's kidnapping. Cannito stated that there "is a very real possibility the suspects are Mexican nationals."
Cole is 3'11" and weighs 48 lbs. He has blond hair, blue eyes and according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, "distinctly stained front teeth." When he was abducted he was wearing jeans, black Vans, a shirt with John Cena from the WWE on it, and a black, zip-up hoodie decorated with black, white and blue stars.
At least one of Cole's abductors had black, slicked-back, shoulder-length hair, was in his 30s, 5'7" and 150 lbs. That abductor -- there may have been as many as 3 -- wore a plain white tee and jeans.
There are some interesting comments about this abduction in the first post made about it below. Before you fall prey to the Caylee Anthony effect -- meaning you find yourself automatically suspicious of any child abduction story that strikes you as hard to swallow -- read those comments and the full Las Vegas Review-Journal article linked at the bottom of this post. There may be much more to this story than police can tell, at the moment. I know I've decided after a good night's sleep to try and keep an open mind.
I'll keep an open mind, since the grandfather and the Mexican drug cartel aspects of the story are making it seem more believable on the whole, the police must have a reason to believe the suspects are Mexican nationals after all.
What I won't keep an open mind about is the psychics and astrologers talking about golf. Might I suggest an increase in your Prozac dosage?
Posted 10/16/2008 at 12:34:30 PMThis is very tragic, I really hope Cole is found alive and well. As for the "men" who took him, I hope they get exacty what they deserve, whatever that may be. I ask God to give strength to his mother because this has to be the single worst thing that she has ever encountered!!!!

Again I would like to state that the mother father or boyfriend has no involvement. His grandfather (mother's father) is a very bad man and is in hiding, he is the one to blame for all of this. I wish they would post a picture of him so we could find him and trade him for the boy since he is who they really want anyway. When they say significant money and drugs I can tell you it is in the millions. Very scary

KIDNAPPINGS AND OTHER MAJOR INCIDENTS HAVE BEEN HAPPENING HERE AND IN SAN DIEGO. SINCE THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR OVER 500 PEOPLE HAVE BEEN KILLED IN TIJUANA DUE TO THE DRUG CARTELS (ARRELLANO AND GUZMAN)FIGHTING FOR THE TERRITORY. NO DOUBT THE BOY WILL BE RELEASED AFTER THEY PAY UP THE MONEY OWED. THE PART ABOUT POSING AS COPS IS SOMETHING THE CARTELS ARE KNOWN FOR. ESPECIALLY IF ONE HAD SHOULDER LINK HAIR. THIS IS NOT LAS VEGAS STYLE ESPECIALLY FOR THE TYPE OF WEATHER THERE. THESE HOODS ARE PROBABLY FROM MEXICO CITY OR TIJUANA AND HAVE RESIDENT CARDS TO BE ABLE TO CROSS THE BORDER. I EXPECT THEY WILL BE NEGOTIATING WITH THE FAMILY FOR HIS RELEASE AFTER MONEY IS PAID. MOST LIKELY THE TRANSACTION WILL TAKE PLACE IN MEXICO AS THE POLICE THERE ALWAYS SEEM TO BE INVOLVED IN ANY PAYOFFS FOR KIDNAPPINGS. IN THE MEANTIME WE WILL KEEP OUR EYES OPEN AND ALERT FOR ANYTHING THAT WOULD INDICATE HIS WHEREABOUTS HERE IN MEXICO. HE AND THE FAMILY ARE IN OUR PRAYERS.

I looked through myspace and Cole's father has one with some more pictures of Cole and let me just say if the pictures on his myspace are in fact Cole, then the only picture of Cole that is plastered everywhere does not even really look like him! I also looked at Robert Puffingers sisters' myspace and there is a really good picture of Cole in her pictures as well. Metro really needs to show some more pictures of him and not just the same one over and over! Also, the amber alert has been de-activated so I just pray for some good news today.
