Shaking my head here. Cindy started obstructing justice on the 15th of JULY when she washed items in the trunk of the car! Since then she has lead police and FBI away from the fact of any crime being committed by her daughter. She has lied outright about the odor and what a good mother Casey was, trying to negate the fact that she was stealing money from her friends and loved ones..not to mention partying while her baby was "missing" . To hear of this damning email is no surprise- it irks me that most of the rest of us would be in jail for these same offenses. She deserves to be in jail ! People in "meds" still know right from wrong. Lets see some justice for Caylee.

It took Cindy over 11 minutes to deny she lied to law enforcement about the hairbrush. ELEVEN MINUTES. She's enjoying every second of all of this, and name dropping to boot. Tell me, what does Dave Holloway (Natalie Holloway's father) have ANYTHING to do with Caylee's hairbrush? What did Tim Miller have to do with Caylee's hairbrush? Or the reciepts Yuri asked for on July 31st?

I hope they get a new lawyer soon, one who can shut her up.

Denial is a very powerful coping mechanism. So much so, it seems, it can cause a person to do something criminal, in an attempt to avoid the truth (that her daughter is a murdering azzhole.)

I've suspected for some time that Casey's parents would do more than just lie to cover up for their daughter because it appears they've been doing it for most of her adult life.

I believe, that Cindy Anthony has known from the beginning, that Casey killed Caylee, and now is trying to cover her tracks. I looked at the Florida Statutes on Obstructing Justice and I don't see where she would be found guilty of what it says BUT after looking at Tampering with Evidence by Florida Statute in my opinion she would be guilty of that for concealing the hairbrush she had knowledge of and also for washing the clothes she found in the car after believing it smelt like a dead body?

I agree with yankhadenuf. This was normal reactions when they were beliving that Casey was innocent, and they could not believe anything else at the time. They were not capable of subjectively seeing the obvious truth. And what about the rest of you? Is any one contributing to this blog at all educated? DENIAL is a real thing. We are talking about these parents having to believe that their own daughter brutally killed their only granddaughter - both of whom they raised and loved. Their lives have forever changed. If it were your daughter, and granddaughter - would you not be in denial until the end? How can they possibly accept the cruel and unjust fate that Caylee suffered? The reality of it all is unthinkable to them. Does no one here have a heart for these parents? They will eventually accept it all, but give them the time to accept losing everything important in their lives. You would need time, too. Most peoples reaction to George and Cindy Anthony right or wrong comes from the heart, this is the normal reaction of people who care.
The grandparents are of course shattered by what has happened but looking at them more closely George was a Homicide detective Cindy is a Nurse both know without any doubt how death and decay smell. They would know better than most what constitutes a crime scene how to clean it up and how to "muddy" the waters so to speak.

I normally post on the Haleigh stories on this site, but, after watching the depositions of George and Cindy Anthony this evening I just had to comment. First of all, I will be surprised if Cindy Anthony does not end up getting charged with obstruction of justice or perjury. She perjured herself today about saying that she did not consider Caylee "missing" until July 15. The attorney for Zenaida G handed her back her head on a platter along with a myspace post that she had done on Casey's page July 5, the caption said "My Caylee is Missing".
This woman frightens me. She is devious, conniving, she lies, and I have to wonder just what kind of grandmother she was to precious little Caylee. I am not the least bit surprised how Casey turned out living with this kind of sickness daily. I have said it before and I will say it again, I think if Casey had to pick her victim, it should have been Cindy. Why did she punish Caylee?? Her biggest problem was not with Caylee, it was with Cindy. I just wish Cindy would have allowed Caylee to be adopted out, she's still be alive. How could she, who is not the mother, decide that Caylee would not be adopted out?? Isn't that a decision that should be left to the mother and father???
I don't know about George, I think he is just a tortured soul caught up in this hell hole. I would be very surprised if their marriage stays together after this. I don't think he and Cindy are on the same page at all.

I've just listed to more of the Anthoneys's deposition, it is laughable.....they don't know the truth. Why are they so mad at the attorney, he is just doing his job. Their daughter started all this, they should blame her. She has ruined Zanny's reputation and ability to work. They should have to repay her for her lost salary and all her expenses. Will Someone get behing this and make them pay.

I agree Cindy knew better than to wash the clothes, knew better than to wash the knife and put it back in the house..., after knowing the place she took them from, contained a dead body...who is she to not be charged..or run the show during questioning. We are all saying she should be charged with some kind of crime? Why are the cops not charging them. I really love the way they both use the exact wording to describe "Z". how tall, how straight her teeth were, how many pounds she weighed, how she was a perfect 10. They sounded like they were parroting each other...or parroting their daughters description of her of this so called Z.I love that they could listen to their grand talk about the dog "Z" had...but not of Z? When she spoke about the dog...no questions were asked who`s dog? Where was this dog? My grand talks about playing with a dog...I want to know, who, what, when, and where the heck this dog is and whom it belongs to. They really did their homework. Cindy finally said, oh ya, I had numbers for Z but not now.
Id have to beg, barrow, and steal gas if it were my grand and I knew what the supposedly killer looked like. The cops would have had to come find me, to question me..I would not be wasting my time covering up for anyone in my family that I thought hurt a child, any child! Id be out looking!

George said he has never heard of Zenida until Caylee went missing, Cindy said they have talked about her for years.(yet never met her) Cindy said she had addresses and phone numbers for Zenida, yet never went to or called to find Caylee. Hired a P.I and never gave them to him either, wasn't he hired to find them? Cindy and George showed no respect for the attorney's taken the depositions. They showed the world what asses they really are. I can only imagine what they are going thru, but to act as they did, knowing the world would be viewing the tapes only hurt them and their daughter Casey. Cindy......the apple does not fall far from the tree. And Cindy... you didn't do your homework well, your own son Lee, said you and Casey had a knocked down fight before she left the house. I believe Cindy has definitely obstructed justice!Being a father and grandfather,I can understand loving your daughter and standing beside her.But,if my daughter killed my grandchild and I knew she did (Everyone knows that all of the Anthonys know what happened),I would still love her,but,I most certainly NOT lie and cover up for her.She would have to face the justice she deserves.Cindy and George are not helping by so obviously lying and covering for Casey.And Cindy should be ashamed of herself for trying to misdirect by blaming innocent people for Casey's crime!Of course,if it were anyone else,Cindy would be in jail right now for the stunt she pulled UNDER OATH at Zaneida's attorney's office.That was the worst case of contempt that I've ever seen!

Watching Cindy Anthony on The Early Show, spinning her lies, made me sick. She's a liar and if she believes that anyone will believe what she's saying now, especially in light of what she's said in the past, then she's completely delusional. The obvious lie that she wrote suicide notes and Casey talked her out of it, plus her claim that Casey thanked her for calling 911 after a month of Caylee being missing is funny, at best. She said she knew Caylee was alive during the two months she claimed to be suicidal. Posted on the internet, on july 3rd, that "my Caylee is missing", yet under oath she admitted to writing that, yet said she Didn't think Caylee was missing.
Bottom line....both Cindy and George know Casey was responsible, yet they are trying to get her off. Where is their sense of justice for the granddaughter that they loved? Do they not think of what little Caylee went through? I have no doubt that Casey will be convicted. I hope she spends her life in prison.

How in the HELL can you live with yourself by covering up for your daughter, who FED her own child to a gator!!!??she took her own baby, killed her, left her in a trunk then disposed of her in a garbage bag that was exposed to the weather, some bugs, and who knows what else. I honestly believe total strangers cared more about that child then anyone in that family.
