Joran van der Sloot, age 21, has been accused of playing a role in sex trafficking between Thailand and The Netherlands. Van der Sloot was once the prime suspect in the disappearance of Alabama teen Natalee Holloway from the island of Aruba in May, 2005.
The accusations against van der Sloot have been made by Dutch crime journalist Peter R. de Vries. Earlier this year the same journalist used a hidden camera to capture van der Sloot discussing Holloway's disappearance. In that recording, van der Sloot claimed that Natalee's body was taken out to sea and dumped after her death during a make-out session with van der Sloot on an Aruban beach.
De Vries's new revelations are based on taped discussions van der Sloot had with someone in Bangkok. Van der Sloot, thinking he was talking with some kind of big shot in the Dutch sex industry, allegedly said he could get together travel papers for the girls, who would be told they were simply going to The Netherlands for dancing jobs.
Peter R. de Vries's new exposé -- broadcast Sunday night -- also stated that van der Sloot makes about $13,000 per girl delivered into Dutch prostitution. Van der Sloot reportedly stated on camera that the sex workers make only '300 dollars a month.'
Morally bankrupt behavior from Joran van der Sloot? Who'da thunk it?
Anyone who followed the Holloway case must take note of this. According to De Vries, young Joran could face "big problems in Thailand."

When I think back on the Holloway casr, mostly what I remember about him is the look and the behaviors of an entitled rich kid. I'm sure his Daddy must be so proud. A Thialand prison will be fun for him.

There must be some DSM-IV diagnosis for this guy. I read the link and comment provided by EYES above and this Joran really thinks he is above the law.
What is the DSM-IV for grandiose thinking?
I hope they catch him for something--tht Natalee Holloway case was just horrifying.

Who cares. So this Holloway party girl disappeared and her mother wants someone to blame. Get over it. According to reports the girl didn't spend much of her time in Aruba sober and she probably died of alcohol poisoning.
All I have to say is...

A dead person does not make herself disappear; someone is to blame for, at least, her disappearance, which can make us conclude that they were, also, to blame for her death. Otherwise, why bother "disappearing" her? A little additive to the alcohol? A little bodily persuasion to submit to sex?
One thing about this case are the never-ending questions about the actions, lack of action, and reactions of both the Arubans and the Americans involved with Natalee.

Posted 11/25/2008 at 11:39:47 AMI think there is a possiblity, however slim, that Natalie is still alive. I had the thought since day one that she was moved immediately to Venezula.
Based on all the information Joran made available to Van Susteren, they should soon have a huge break in the case.
Western Union money transfers, mobile phone records, witnesses that heard the 'true' story, etc.
Ultimately, Joran may not be able to live with himself... many people with this psychological profile WANT to be caught.
