• As for making comments about the law inforcement officer carrying in the bomb... suffice it to say from someone who knows... the guy who died was one of the best bomb squad officers in the state of Oregon. Mistakes, yea, there are always mistakes when someone dies. But, armchair quarterbacks without the knowledge or facts please refrain from comments. In other words, when you diffuse bombs for a living, and have all the facts of this case, (one of which was a lot of information leading to the belief that this was a hoax) then you can open your mouth.

• His MySpace friend JJ swapped out her racy pic for a VERY conservative one. She must have gotten some unwanted attention by posing in a bikini with a rifle (at least that's what it looked like she was doing). There is a pink503 on Yahoo Answers, but it appears to be a teenaged girl.

• There must be some mix-up with the charges there, because he didn't murder 6 people, right? I sure wish there was a Wayback Machine for MySpace and Facebook entries that would let us go back a month or so and see what all these criminals try so hard to hide just before they go off the rails. • Since I live in the area, I found the local news a little interesting. His next door neighbor was interviewed and Turnidge and his wife and 2 kids had only lived next door for a week so not really known in the neighborhood. It will be interesting to see how this plays out as Bend is quite a ways from Salem where he most recently lived. He caught himself on camera at the bank and it is clearly him--no mistake. As for 3 deputies (and Woodburn is a backwater tiny town) who on earth would be stupid enough to pick up a suspicious box from the bushes (after they had earlier had a telephone bomb threat that yielded nothing as they were at the bank next door--so wrong bank) and take it INSIDE the bank for God's sakes to examine it. Why didn't they call the bomb squad from Salem (town next door and also the state capital)? Not an intelligent move on their part.I'm sure there will be an investigation into the procedural errors.

• Sec. of State shows he started a business in 12-2006 he called S. W. Consulting. I haven't found a website for it online though. An engineering firm pops up with the same name but I think it's a different company. No social networking profiles other than a blank Facebook that might be someone else.
