Man kills serial pedophile

By now you know that bones were found in Orlando today. You know they were a stone's throw from the residence Casey Marie Anthony shared with her daughter and George and Cindy Anthony. You might just know that a meter reader working in the area apparently found himself between a rock and a hard place and while searching for a private place to pee, he found a plastic bag on the ground. Naturally curious, he picked it up.
The skull of a small child rolled out of the bag.
Local law enforcement authorities are striving hard to be professional about the find. They have hinted that the skull and the bones that were still in the bag might be those of little Caylee Anthony, who vanished sometime in June, 2008. But they can't declare the remains are Caylee's until they've run forensic tests to prove it.
Tim Miller, of Texas Equusearch, has no such constraints, and Miller told the Orlando Sentinel that the bones "appear to be Caylee." Miller also said "It looks like finally it's over with."
The bones have been taken to the medical examiner's office. Orange County Sheriff Kevin Beary has said that they are 'a top priority' for the FBI and the forensic investigators working on the find.
Their Orlando attorney said that George and Cindy Anthony were "obviously shocked" about the find.
Casey Anthony's attorney, Jose Baez, has filed an emergency motion in an Orlando court asking that the defense be present during all forensic tests on the remains. A judge will hear the motion on Friday.
If the bones prove to be those of Caylee Anthony, it will be interesting to see how George and Cindy Anthony respond to the news. In their vocal, visible and sometimes seemingly delusional defense of Casey, the Anthonys have become nearly as controversial as their pretty, flat-eyed daughter.
They have proven remarkably inventive in their attempts to circumvent common sense when speaking publicly about the case against Casey. From insisting that the smell of decomposition in the car Casey drove after Caylee vanished was old food to later implying that someone placed the decomp material found in the trunk in the car after it was impounded, the Anthonys have been object lessons in active, insistent denial.
How will they be able to deny this, if the bones were once a little girl named Caylee? What will Casey say to her parents, no doubt pinning them to their chairs in the jail visiting area with her big, innocent but unblinking baby blues? Reasonable people would like to think they'd withdraw into their grief and let the system take over. That would make sense, and perhaps be better for them. But nothing in the Anthony case has made much sense. The Anthonys might not miss a beat -- they may now come forward proposing police target neighborhood sex offenders, or insist that it was all an accident, and the only crime was a cover-up. People tired of hearing about this case in the news would do well to not sit back and say the story is over -- it may have only just begun. [OrlandoSentinel.com]

They'll blame it on the nanny. That the Anthony's brought too much attention to the case (even after the warning to Casey) and so they killed Caylee and set Casey up.
I initially refused to get sucked into this case as I feared there would be no resolution like Trenton's, but yet I followed it.
Posted 12/11/2008 at 08:30:02 PMZanaida the Nanny didn't exist...Casey didn't earn any money...thus couldn't pay for a Nanny!!!
I watched ALL the Jail tapes...snivelling/simpering/whimpering Casey was totally complient with Lee during their "Coded" tapes...I hope that LE investigate these!!!
If BAEZ tries to get an insanity plea...I hope that the fleas of a thousand camels infest him!!!!
Bless Caylee...love her heaps...sadly her mother didn't!
Posted 12/12/2008 at 02:57:08 AMI'll be glad when this is over. Not because I'm sick of hearing about it, but maybe to find a the truth or a little of the truth. I have a daughter not much younger than Caylee and I can't imagine hurting her for any reason.
Posted 12/12/2008 at 04:06:00 AMIf we JUST look at Casey's reaction to hearing this news, as opposed to ALL the other times she heard news of "something found" then we KNOW this is Caylee. I hope she rots in prison. I hope they give her the death penalty.
I too think initially, they will try and blame it on the non-existant nanny, but the Anthonys must think the rest of the world is as delusional as they are.
Posted 12/12/2008 at 08:31:21 AMHopefully with these remains found, a lot will be put to rest. This case is so bizarre. And so sad for so many people.
Posted 12/12/2008 at 08:39:11 AMI honestly think that even if they prove the remains to be of litte Caylee, the parents will come up with some explanation and someone else to blame it on. I doubt they will just break down and confess.
Posted 12/12/2008 at 09:01:29 AMInvestigators searched the home of missing toddler Caylee Anthony's grandparents overnight Thursday and "absolutely" found something of interest, Orange County, Florida, Sheriff Kevin Beary said Friday morning.

If the bones found are Caylee: More and more, I feel George and Cindy are complicit in a crime against Caylee, and should be criminally charged. Casey may have done "the deed," but her parents sure look to be guilty of a cover-up. They have done nothing positive to further a resolution of this case, and in fact, it appears they put roadblocks up everywhere they could. And knew what they were doing was wrong.
I agree with commenters the grandparents were innocent victims to begin with, but at some point they decided to step over the line and actually hinder LE's investigation, becoming accomplices after the fact. Put Cindy and George in jail, put pressure on Casey, and get to the bottom of what exactly happened to Caylee.

By TAMARA LUSH – 2 hours ago
ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — A medical examiner found evidence among a child's remains that link them to the home of a missing toddler, the county sheriff said Friday, offering the strongest indication yet that the remains may be those of Caylee Anthony.
Orange County Sheriff Kevin Beary said investigators searched the home early Friday after the medical examiner found "some clues that came out of the remains" that "linked it to the house." He would not say what clues were found.
"We took some things out of the house that the forensic people are very interested in," he said.

I'm very curious as to what evidences can be linked so quickly.
NOTE FROM STEVE: Nana, my guess is that it could be duct tape or the bag itself. The duct tape could match a roll from the house, the bag a package still in the residence. Just a guess, though.
Posted 12/12/2008 at 12:38:18 PMI think the reason Cindy was trying so hard to deny that Caylee was dead is because she feels that it is her fault (although I don't think so, she was following the therapists directions to practice "tough love" and I'm sure she never dreamed that Casey would kill her daughter when she kicked them out but no matter what after the fact the guilt you would feel would be crushing), if she admitted that Caylee was dead she would have to face the guilt she felt. Now, I'm sure she still will not be able to face facts but will claim it was someone else.
Posted 12/12/2008 at 02:23:42 PMWell, all compulsive liars... will give you a tid bit of truth... as if this is their personal retribution for all their horrible lies.. yes, Casey did tell us "I feel she is close to home"... and she also stated "They have not even found her clothes yet" .... this was a month ago when she said this... and yes, there are no clothes in the black platic bag.
Posted 12/12/2008 at 05:31:58 PMI personally feel that the grandparents was involved in the killing of that little girl. First of, if they knew Casey couldn't take care of her they should've keep her. And why did it take so long for them to take their suspicions to the police? And what about this misterious baby sitter? wouldn't they want to meet the woman baby sitting their only grandchild? and again back to how long it took them to report her missing? WHY DID IT TAKE SO LONG? MAYBE THE REASON THEY ARE CONSTANTLY CLAIMING CASEY IS INNOCENT IS BECAUSE....SHE IS AND THEY KNOW IT. MAYBE THEY KILLED THAT SWEET LITTLE GIRL AND NOW DON'T WANT THIER DAUGHTER TO GO TO JAIL FOR THEIR CRIME
Posted 12/12/2008 at 06:38:36 PMI do not think Cindy and George are complicit but I do think denial runs deep in their family.
Posted 12/13/2008 at 02:22:40 AMTo anyone who excuses the grandparents for being "in denial," or trying to protect their daughter, whatever: a thought experiment. Imagine you had an inkling that the spawn of your home had disposed of your only grand-child, naked, mouth duct-taped, in a garbage bag, to be found where a passer-by thought he was safe to take a leak: what would be your reaction? Would you be sensitive to her feelings, and defend her at all costs, or would you accept that you had raised a murderer, and sadly, reluctantly, make sure that justice was done for an innocent child? An innocent whose parent didn't protect her?
Posted 12/13/2008 at 04:02:29 AMIf the Anthonys are defending Casey rather than just standing by her, it only proves that apple didn't fall far from their tree.
I have to comment with regard to the grandparents. I've been on message boards in the last two days, and I see all these comments how the grandparents knew, Cindy HELPED Casey kill Caylee....such conspiracies.
Yeah, I think the grandparents are in denial. They have a daughter who more than likely has several personality disorders. They've lost their granddaughter, and they are probably hanging on for dear life, to their daughter, regardless of what she's done. You can't tell me that when Cindy called 911 the first time, claiming her daughter's car smelled of dead body, that she was a part of some grand conspiracy to conceal the death of her grandchild. If you know anything about psychology, you'd know that this progression of theirs is understandable, if abnormal.
I'm just sick and tired of reading about how the Anthonys deserve the same punishment as Casey, or how they actually murdered the little girl, or moved her body. Such thinking is really irrational, although the conspiracy theorists won't think so.
Posted 12/13/2008 at 05:22:30 PMI think Casey acted alone when she killed Caylee - she did it AFTER the terrible fight she had with her mother!
I also HATE the Anthonys for continuing to lay blame on others for what happened and continuing to defend their daughter even after she stole money and gasoline!
Posted 12/13/2008 at 06:17:31 PMhi. im just glad the truth is coming for the little girl. and for all of them. they have been carrying a very Heavy Load since this all happened. the truth will never stay surpressed. that is impossible. when it comes out, there will be relief, but also consequences, this side and Divine.
Posted 12/16/2008 at 10:30:54 PMMaureen I think you said it best: The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
Posted 12/17/2008 at 04:24:54 AMAs a therapist, I have seen people process trauma in so many different ways. After listening to Cindy on TV last night, I would not be surprised if she also has a history of pathological behavior.
Let me be clear on my last post, denial is not an excuse- it's a way of re-routing information that's much too overwhelming for the mind to process at one particular time. As long as Cindy and George continue to deny the truth, they can continue to avoid the fact that they've made some very poor decisions.
I don't have anything proverbial to say. I'm just glad that the search has ended and they found the remains before the end of the year. It was hard following this case and I was wondering when the lies were going to end. It looks like the truth has finally surfaced and it can be put to rest.
