Man blames girlfriend's threesome for murder
Tuesday, Jan. 27 2009 @ 1:18PM
This morning a man called a KFWB, a Los Angeles radio station. The man also called LA's Channel 7. At some point the man sent a fax to the TV station. In the fax he stated that was going to kill his two sets of twin children and another daughter, then commit suicide. The man explained that he was motivated by a problem he was having with his employer, a Los Angeles hospital. The LAPD went to the family home in the 1000 block of McFarland Ave. in Wilmington. They found 2 dead adults and 5 dead children. The man who made the phone calls had apparently been true to his word. Still developing...
[LAT, NBC Los Angeles, see also KFWB.].

It's pretty convenient that HE writes the letter that says his wife was in agreement with killing everyone in the family. Whatever.
Posted 01/27/2009 at 04:08:41 PMto soobs: shut up!
Posted 01/27/2009 at 04:36:54 PMJACKN7... What up dude? You're still in the area?

I read that the phrase "Oh Lord, my God, is there no help for a widow's son?" was written at the bottom of the fax. Based on my research, this seems to be a Masonic gesture reflecting great distress. By Masonic code, any fellow Mason hearing these words is required/oath bound to do whatever is possible to save the other Mason from his troubles.
Since LaPoe's great distress is clearly evident, I am not sure how much this adds to the story, but I found it disheartening that he wrote this phrase on the fax yet did not wait for any aid.
Posted 01/27/2009 at 05:00:15 PMJackn7 - LOL, if my husband can't make me "shut up" (I am an adult, after all) what makes you think I'll listen to you? :-)
Posted 01/27/2009 at 05:21:55 PMWhat's with the man hating Soobs? How about some sympathy for the kids? The whole story is not out yet. We'll see if mom was involved in any way....
Posted 01/27/2009 at 06:00:22 PMHey JACKN7... I think I know you. TOMA!
I'm betting this guy was a functioning schizophrenic even before he got fired from his medical center job. Although the totally left field Masonic phraseology scrawled on the fax is bizarre (and, frankly, often a sign of psychosis). As the daughter of a Free Mason & Shriner, I can testify that the only "aid" he could have expected from the fraternal order would have come in the form of Jolly Ranchers or a pancake breakfast.
Posted 01/27/2009 at 06:45:41 PM"Man hating??" I don't see how you get that from my comment.
Posted 01/27/2009 at 06:51:35 PMA family of seven is dead. Five innocent children gone. The comments here are unbelievable. Please have some respect. What kind of society do we live in? May God rest all their souls.
Posted 01/27/2009 at 11:17:28 PMamen man, 2 more killed in Compton, 5 dead in Inglewood, its gonna just get worse. Gang bangers really commit murderous crimes.
Posted 01/27/2009 at 11:25:42 PMI immediately thought of a CSI that was on a few days ago, when the father killed his whole family, including small children and a baby. You always wonder what triggers a person and shows like this (very graphic) really make me wonder. And no, I didn't watch it, just walked through the room a couple of times while DH watched it. The local news tonight (L.A.) mentioned that a coworker claimed a supervisor at the hospital where he worked had told the father in yesterday's case to "go blow your brains out." I expect we will be hearing more about that and I hope it isn't true.
Posted 01/27/2009 at 11:49:51 PMLink to the "blow brains out" story:

There is a really good post about this at the women in crime ink blog: womenincrimeink.blogspot.com
Posted 01/29/2009 at 10:45:16 AMI really wonder why both parents were terminated from their jobs...
I have read comments from Kaiser Permanente that say that they are saddened by these events and that they were good employees...they were both medical technicians and those have always been in fairly high demand, so I would love to hear from Kaiser as to why these two had to be terminated.
It also sounds like the union wasn't much in the way of help for them, either.
I'm not blaming their employers, but, well, maybe I am just a little.
Posted 01/29/2009 at 12:40:35 PMI have posted about 5 times on different topics. The one that appears here is the last one that posted. I haven't seen any of my comments posted now in 2 days. Also, the "homicide" type in box is gone. I am confused!
Posted 01/29/2009 at 04:07:37 PMDarby, they were both terminated, according to Kaiser, because they falsified records in order to get their children into reduced cost day care. As Kaiser has stated, medical records are legally binding. Their falsification of financial records, leads to questioning of their truthfulness in signing medical records, which are federal documents (with regard to HiPPA.)
Posted 01/30/2009 at 04:09:15 PMHi Soobs - thank you - you are very right.
I was writing from my heart not my head when I wondered what the parents could possibly have done that was so serious as to lead to termination, and when it comes to falsifying documents, well, there you have it. You simply cannot do that, and I understand that.
Sounds like this just didn't have a good ending all the way around.
