Listening to the 911 call is heartbreaking. I really don't think the father or girlfriend had anything to do with Haleigh's disappearance.

I'm going with Chuck over at In Cold Blog on this one - inside job, Misty the girlfriend knows more than what she's telling.

I'm real split on what happened. Since that wacko in Ohio who stole the victim's car busted in and raped her little boy, I'm not discounting anything.

The story has now changed. They are now saying that Haleigh was in fact not asleep in the bed with the babysitter and the brother. She was in another room.

I've been following this tragic story and while surfing for updates, noticed that Fox News Orlando has a story about a Sexual Predator (Chad E Reynolds) who per the Florida Predator database, has "Absconded", and the last location he was seen is near enough to Satsuma to make me wonder...and worry more. I sincerely hope I'm wrong!

Very sadly, both were abducted by sick neighbors who had clearly been watching the girls and the family habits.

Five tip-offs for this arm-chair sleuth:

1. Contradictory statements to begin with. Could be the girl WAS in the same bed to begin with and WET the bed. THEN was put in other bed. Misty talks about her wetting the bed (recently) and she "washed the blanket." If she is 5 year-old girl with Turner's syndrome, living in emotionally and physically abusive environment, further explains why still bedwetter.

2. Father hothead and has lengthy criminal history - also domestic violence, reports of child abuse. Known fact that one of the leading causes of death in children are parents who go berserk due to bedwetting, over-discipline and possibly beat to death. Could have physically assaulted, broken limbs, bruises - only recourse was to throw her in the river, and place cinder block at back door to "cover" himself. Also reports that phone calls between two in early morning hours before he returned home, so if truly missing, he wouldn't have stayed at job 'til finished.

3. His dismay and tears are over what he did, and yes, he wants her back - but not because of abduction that never happened He is remorseful, like many abusers who do it over and over and over. Think sheriff's dept going along with story to get the goods on Dad and girlfriend.

4. Misty going along with story, but because she is young and not real bright, (like Ronald) they have really given themselves away with talk of bedwetting and now knowledge of truancy - in kindergarten of all things - which is another sign of physical abuse and healing injuries.

5. Child missed so much school that bio Mom said if missed anymore, father could be arrested. Contempt of Court entered against father on Mon 2/9 -hours before child went missing. Father didn't want to lose son, lose job, nor go to jail.

Father murdered unintentionally, life in prison. Girlfriend accomplice - serving 30+ years in the big house.

Case closed.

My thoughts, THE DAD CANT EVEN MUSTER UP ANY TEARS! dont tell me I am the only one who has seen him fake cry and no tears.Oh I am furious that poor little girl!May god bless her.If he does build bridges for a living who is to say she isnt in a concrete bridge? I also saw the domestic violence background on another website and I have to say, that does change my initial impression of Mr. Cummings. I thought he seemed sincere at first, and I really do not want to make accusations, but I also believe he could have very easily lost his temper and severely injured or, God forbid, murdered this poor innocent child. However, if something like that did indeed happen, let's say before he left to go to work, and Misty did indeed know, then how do you explain the 4-year-old son being unaware of it all? Surely, he would be able to speak out about what happened or what he did or did not see. I just think there is so much more to this story than we know. I hope I am wrong and that the father had nothing to do with this, but more importantly I hope that beautiful little girl returns home safe and unharmed.

The day after Hayleigh was reported missing (in the news), Misty Croslins' My Space page had several mourning songs about death on it. They are gone now. Tears in Heaven, that song by Vince Gill he wrote about his brothers death - can't remember the exact name, something like - go sing High on The Mountain were two I can remember - very strange indeed IF she didn't know the child was already deceased - in my opinion anyway.

The 17 year old girl acted and sound's just like Susan Smith. In my opinion if you close your eyes while telling the story you are lying. Her fake crying telling about a brick propping open the door. Who in their right minds are going to tell something like that the 911 operator? She has something to do with this. But she is not smart enough to keep the lie going. I give it another 2 weeks and then she will tell the truth.

Too much info too soon can be an attempt to establish an alibi or lay groundwork for lies. Thus the details to 911

My thought is that while he was at work the 17 yr old got mad about bedwetting her bed and punished her too much. She may have beat her unconscious or into a coma.

She may have been POed that she was going to have to sleep in P mattress again, and is covering for the fact that it was wet again. She may have called him at work or vice versa in guilt without discussing what really happened then when he came home he found out the truth.

Maybe the girl was alive when they were on the phone and he was going to take care of it when he got home. In the meantime things got worse.

Perhaps when she was in a coma or other state and/or died she lost continence. He perhaps finished off the process then disposed of the body and came up with the story. He is upset that his 17 yr old did that to his daughter but won't give her up, especially since he is already in trouble with the school and court. He fears what would happen to him and losing other kids.

We will see what happens over the next month, but I agree that there must be something more to this. Even the audio I heard sounds fake. It doesn't add up. I believe the reason he is unable to compose himself is because he has guilt. If you are not guilty you can compose yourself and take care of business once you have dealt with the situation at hand.

He is more broken up than a normal parent would be. I say this because the head of the household is used to being the strength and rock for the family in situations like this. They have to compose themselves quickly to pull things together.

He keeps threatening to kill the person that did this. I think it is because he knows it cannot be a threat when the person he is threatening doesn't exist.

There is one caveat. The disappearance of a registered offender at the same time certainly is odd. That is the wild card in all of this.

I think the father and girlfriend did something to that poor baby. Whatever it is, I think the police know and are just waiting for one of them to crack, which I think will be the young girlfriend. I just hope they get to the truth soon.

I do think that Misty, at the very least, and possibly Ronald know more than they are letting on. I think the whole family (including the mother) have been very strange. What I am writing about however is that Misty's myspace hasn't been updated since 9/18/08, so whatever songs are on there, have been on there for some time now.

I feel suspicios of the father for several reasons, emotion and during one interveiws when he was making statements for return of his child he refured to his child as it, also the possible contempt issue. The girlfreind I feel is being used like a pawn and feel she knows nothing except maybe some suspision with cys involvement she just does not seem to know and seems in shock that its happining to her. and with that i have to conclude suspition on the father and that for someone to enter a house and feel comfterable to turn on a light on would be someone with great nerves or who would seem to belong there at that time in the morning and remember he just got in at same time as all going down estimated. I just feel she knew nothing and he should be looked at better. There are other reasons also that don't fit. I don't think this is good. I hope I am wrong, but i feel as though i need to say what i feel looking at all at a distance. I hope i am wrong and hope she is ok.

I agree with Darby. I just wonder if this Chad Reynold's victim would agree with this post?

I'm just wondering if anyone else heard something the father said in the backgrond while Misty was on the phone with 911? He askes what she is doing up in the middle of the night anyway. And he said, "How the F--- could you let my kid get stolen B----". He also told police when they arrived, "My stupid B---- girlfriend just told me my kid was missing." He sounds like a real winner of a guy. That 17 year-old child better RUN and RUN FAST away from that brute.

Has anyone in the vicinity of Haleigh's home layed any concrete patios lately? And sexual preditors with many cement bags in their garbage?

I firmly believe whatever happened, started in that house, long before the evening, the little girl went missing. I believe as well that whomever did this, was doing it on a regular basis. The neglect was already there, with that abuse follows. Anger and ignorance, make a bad cocktail.

Oh My God! I can't believe that there were 44 known sex offenders living near by and people are surprised or alarmed that this little innocent girl was kidnapped. That's like placing this little girl in a playground with a bunch of sharks within a five mile radius. Where are the people who make the laws and allow these sick preditors to live among "normal" society. These people should be transported to an island and live by themselves. This was an incident waiting to happen and I feel so sorry for that poor little girl that had to live in that sick environment. LAWS should be enforced to protect these innocent children, and yet nothing in done. If it wasn't a sex offender that took this child than I strongly believe the parents or there friends had something to do with it. They are all acting very weird in my opinion.

The girlfriend is not telling the whole truth, and half a truth is a lie. She has been doing from the start, she needs to be locked up for confusing the beginning of the investigation, bet she would crack then. Come on you stupid girl stop puffing, and start talking.

We are praying for this family... for EVERYONE associated with this family! Did anyone look at the police report? Check the date of birth of Haleigh's actual mother - I may not be the best in math but I believe she was only 14 when she was pregnant with Haleigh & he was 19!!!! What is wrong with this family? I watched Ronald Cummings last night on t.v. and that man is broken. He is NOT involved in anything. Haleigh's mother however disappointed me when she said "I hope Misty is not involved, my kids loved her". Of course they did, she sure wasn't around or involved in any of the care. Any love, even neglect is better than no love. They are little, helpless children. Ronald knew her for how long? Months! Open up your eyes MOM! Isn't it time you got angry?????? We have a child missing here. and most things said are speculations..we americans are suspicious minded..you cant fool us..even good people do snap, we will conclude, pass judgement, and sentance you in a heart beat if it was not for the law..composure can be a cover up for pain, not guilt..I cant imagine my house if we had a child missing. we did have one missing for 2 long , tormenting hours..she walked off with a friend who was in trouble with his mom..they were 12(my grandaughter)...i was in charge..she was there one min..gone the next..the police did find them, but all the while they were looking even under our beds ,,we all were a mess.. i tried to remain calm, for my daughter's sake, this is diff i know..but looking at the folks and trying to read thier body language in a situation like this is really a smokescreen..you force yourself to be calm so as you can help solve, and answer questions of the police..i cant imagine how dry you could become if this had gone on for days..your emotionally drained..cried out all the tears.. almost a zombie..as my mom use to say..this will all come out in the wash..after 10 days, she is ither doing well in someone captivity..or God frobid.. dead..I do hope this comes out with her being released.. i feel for the family. for we all take our life for granite...things like this can happen to the poor, the rich, the single..the happy family...come together when you see a family suffering..bring food, money, support, they are already torn to pieces..

I think it was Misty! Here is why..
1)Misty said the light was on. (Think she said in the kitchen or some place) EVERYONE said how afraid Haleigh was of the dark. DID who ever took her know she was afraid of the dark and turned on the light so she wouldn't cry or scream?. Hmmm Misty knew she was afraid of the dark. Would an "outsider" of the home feel so comfortable as to turn on the light? One would think not! Someone passing by might see the light and wonder what they are doing up or late or even know that the father works nights, they might even knock on the door to check. I do not think an outsider would turn on a light. Misty said the light had been turned on and the back door was open.

2) In one interview she (Misty) is talking about how she cares about the child and refers to her in past tense by saying "I LOVED her"

3) Several times Misty also uses the words "they" "them"

4) According to Misty, Haleigh was a bed wetter. Usually if a child of 5 is a bed wetter there is something going on. Could it be that Misty got upset that night because Haleigh did wet the bed? Could it be that Misty got up because Haleigh was crying or upset because she did wet the bed. (this would also account for the "bathroom" coming into play at about 3am. Misty said at one point she was wearing a pink top, but yet that was in the dirty clothes. Did Misty turn on the light so she could clean up Haleigh and removed the pink shirt and throw it into the dirty clothes. Could Misty have opened the back door to air out the house?

And last could Misty have gotten so mad as to hurt the child and maybe killed her by accident, took the body out and as for the "sighting" of Misty out side of the trailer that night was it just her coming back from where she put the body?

Just my thoughts.. I also noticed the father is out looking for his daughter every day.. Misty? nope.

Washing blanket in midnight hours said she had removed it from covering a window said it had urine on it as Haleigh wet the bed night before how could it be removed from covering a window and misty said had urine on from night before and reason for removing from window Haleighs blanket had been left in a Van .
I realize people on night shift have to darken the room to sleep so what else did this blanket have on it or used for?

Then the mystery gets worse He said the washer was running when he came home at 3:25 if Misty was asleep and only up for bathroom and then Haleigh gone how could the washing machine be still running /Misty said she went to bed at 10:00 this is over five hours later washer running.

I also read that Misty said this cousin of hers had molested her and "other cousins " so why would this cousin be in her house or life ?
Also read Misty said this cousin only there about 5 pm to 5;30 pm and this cousin was one Ron had fight with then found gun in ditch that Ron had thought cousin had taken .
Also read Ron works 12 hours so if off at 3am what time does he leave for work? Then the time frame for her cousin there that misty gave is way off.

It's his "wife" now. The newlyweds were on national TV and Potty-Mouth Ronald didn't even put his arm around his blushing bride.

Whenever the Honeymooners are asked why they got married they never say "because we are in love" or any variation of that statement. They say that is was “Haleigh would have wanted.”

Okay, so let’s break this down. While over 100 deputies are combing the ditches beside a highway looking for the remains of Potty-Mouth’s daughter, the Honeymooners are busing getting married and making plans to travel to New York.

No church clergy would marry the couple because they didn’t approve so they had to have a notary do it in the backyard while Potty-Mouth made his vows wearing sunglasses.

The child was not gone one month and they suddenly became hell-bent for election on getting legally married because a five year-old “would have wanted it.” A five year-old doesn’t know the difference between a birthday party and wedding. A wedding brought no substantial change to this relationship because the rape-victim was already living with the rapist – the child could never see a difference, even if she did come back.

My guess is the age of his girlfriend (now wife) was relevant to the police. I believe that because rape is felony and a 25 year-old getting it on with a 17 year-old is rape. My understanding is that police officers deal daily and regularly work at finding criminals – particularly felons.

So, yeah, my guess is the police do think her age is relevant.

LedZep10 your are absolutely correct. I looked at their myspace as well. One of the songs were "Go Rest High on that Mountain"

Why the heck would she have those songs playing? Because the computer was the only thing she could attach to in this tragic situation.

Why haven't detectives and investigators checked the mattress,washer and dryer for blood stains( forensics evidence). Just like they took the back door off the hinges. This should also be evidence if she was up washing laundry. Just my thought.

Hello people, Stop focusing on Mistys age. I believe they got married to keep charges from being filed against Ronald but you have to remember this is the south, girls that come from lower incomes do get married or start having babies at earlier ages. I believe Ronald is innocent but that Misty is lying through her teeth, and if the washer was on when Ronald got home then maybe Misty was trying to wash away evidence. Maybe she had someone over, they got screwed up on drugs (this bitch is a druggie) she passed out or left him with the kids and he molested her, he takes the body off while she does clean up! I mean you really never know. When she went into the kitchen she noticed the back door was open, but according to the clip I watched the back door almost closes by itself (the trailer must be unlevel). I'm not talking about the screen that was propped open with the brick but the back door. The woman interviewer said "as you can see the back door almost closes by itself too". And what villian would be stupid enough to turn the light on! Bitch is lying, I feel so bad for the family. The grandmother is really hurting. I hope and pray the truth comes to light soon. Timeline sheriff office has got to have more info than we do to put this timeline together. No matter what it all goes back to Misty I understqnd that Misty had tried to reach Ron several time that night but he wasnt answering. ( He was mad at her for her time away from him for several days b-4 this all happened ) I had read on another blog that he had missed several days work b-4 had Haleigh been to school those days possible thrus & Fri. Ron was pissed with all the other stuff going on with Ron took it out on the kids. I can see the clothes piling up. Misty came back home she had laundry to do ( Can't do things like that when Ron is sleeping/ I dont care what Ron says about him locking the back door b-4 he left for work , like if he locked it it was the rules never unlock it. ha ha I would have had it opened while doing laundry, I can even see them pulling the BLUE VAN up to the back and partying out of it, having that screen door propped open. Sure Misty doesn't sound real bright on the tape of the call, remember she could be on a cell phone. We all know how they break up and it is hard to hear everything that is said, also she was sleeping, how many of us are totally coherant when waking in the middle of being asleep,especially if waking to find a child missing!! It seems the person that took her knew the family personally so much so that they knew where to find the child. I would think the children where in their own room. Who would know that they were all in the same room,if the person didn't know this they would have been in there longer looking in everyroom, making more noise. the kitchen light was on but it didn't light up the whole trailer,it would have been easier for the person to see if they left the light off due to their eyes adjusting to the light,going in a dark room would make it harder to see.They knew exactly where everything and everyone was.They would need to prop the door open for exiting while carrying a child, one hand to hold them the other to hold over their mouth,either the door was left unlocked by mistake or the person found a flaw somewhere with the latch.Ronald did say he changed the lock himself after he moved in. Something may have awakened misty, a noise that she doesn't remeber hearing while sleeping but it was enough to bring her out of her sleep, the girl does sound scared to death on the phone you can hear her trembling, I myself would think ronald would have ran outside looking to see if the person was still close for all he knew they just took her and could have been just feet away, or jumped in his car to see if he could find a vehichle on the road it was 3:30 in the morning how many cars are on the road at that time? (but it wasn't me so I don't know how I would react.)
I am wondering if the person that took her is seeing all the bashing of haliegh's gaurdians and smiling and thinking they are getting away with harming a child because of the lifestyle of these people. Misty's sister inlaws van was stolen the day that Haliegh was taken By the cousin that apparently had innapropriate contact with Misty, He was also in the trailer that day,I believe the person responsible has already been found.

this whole story is sad...1st i agree the girlfriend KNOWS more than she is saying..and after the MARRAGE I think the dad does as well...

answer me this as a parent who would marry the person that lost their child or was not watching their child as they should of been... I know marrage would of been the last thing on my mind...

see i lost a son to a tumor and after losing a child you read things different.. i wanted the cops and dr.s to tell me everything take everything ...we had no idea he had a tumor until it was too late ...and i as a mom wanted to know everything,, blamed myself for not knowing for 5 years...after you lose a child food is like eating cardboard.

these couple show no sickness for there child being missing., .i knew were my son was with god a better place,but i was still sicken'ed over it for 6 weeks waiting the dr's aupy.notes ...i was even but in the hopistal for the whole think so i know their actions dont click with there storys.

I live in Palatka, and had an incident where a male broke into my home, I had my 2 kids ages, 1, and 2 in bed with me, I had concrete floors, but still heard something, I awoke and ran him out of my home(lucky I know)but the point is I wokeup at the slightest sound, so what is up with this GF's story?
I have watched and read everything on this story, and I agree sounds like a smith story.
As far as chad I agree with Darby, and if this guy is innocent where is he?
I dont beleave the father had anything to do with this, I feel the gf is only trying to cover her own tracks, and is getting overly confused with one lie to the next.
I think the FBI needs to bring her in and put the fear of God into her, she will break.
They were in such a hurry to get married, so She's considered an adult now, so what is the hold up?

your family must be some piece of work if you have a kid thats a child molester with a locked up sister. How in the world can you post a message asking for sympothy for your child molesting family member on a blog about a missing child?

since you have been so quick to defend Mr. Cummings, would you like him to be your neighbor? In case you did not know at age 17 you can consent to sex in ant state so the father is not a "sex offender" although his tastes are questionable

I agree with what you said. Anyone that crosses the line enough to be listed as a sex offender loses all moral rights to ever be considered a "real person" I have no compassion what so ever for this man or even the family/friends that stand up in a public area of any sort and support his actions.
As for this case I agree that it has the ring of Susan Smith, and although I do not know every detail my gut says that the girlfriend is deeply involved. I just hope she is found.

The date of the last comment I see is 4/25/2009.Maybe there have been no more since then but I would have swore there were many. That creates a huge window empty window of over a week with no posts?? i believe someone did come,in haleighs father and i believe he threatened misty ,if she told what happened; i also believe misty cleaned everything up washed clothes and got the aliby while ron went back to work ;as far as misty age as long as she is gone from her parents house they can try to get her back home and have ronald arrested however the parent of misty seems to comply w the relationship i heard that if you are in an abusive relationship in your past odds are you continue this trend ;therefore if misty is being abused ;she will not tell the truth ;shes scared she has the syndrome like ,the smart, girl where you identifiy w your captive unlike kacee anthony who killed her daughter out of revenge and covered it up .i believe this was a punishment gone south and the two of them are looking for a way out unlike susan smith also because she murdered on pupose maybe more like the girl who tried to kill her boys and one live remember was it darlee she blamed it on an intruder ;and one more thing ;it could of been a child abuse case ;however just like kacee they have attempted to lie and conceal the truth i prey im wrong but this is close ..i beleive; and ........to the family member defending the missing rapist i have two questions for you#1 do you let him around your children #2 if hes such a good guy why are you defending him where is he why isnt he here speaking instead of you just a thought,,,, im not going to judge him ;but you should consider the facts; because good ,or not, its wrong; they said ted bundy was a good guy,ed gein;jeffery dommer; lee allen malcovich ;and plenty more ;;;;save yourself ;;;;;mary

I was wondering why haven't they been searching for Haleigh Cummings? I haven't heard anything on the news...

I can't believe that in all this time no one is addressing the fact that they got married 3 days after abduction. This is classic spousal privilige. Now neither can be forced to testify against each other. why else would they rush to the alter in the midst of this crisis??????

I just hope,and pray for Haleigh,and the person,or persons who had anything to do with this because thats all we can do the christian thing to do wwjd?I pray Haleigh will come home to her family unharmed,and happy.I hope she is being loved,and treated in a Godly way.May all of our negitive thoughts ,and negitive thinking,may it go out the door.Positive thinking ,and believing in faith ,and hope is a special force that can move moutains.....May God be with Haleigh,and every other child that has gone missing or will go missing Lord forbid.And Lord keep all of our babies safe,and put Christ into the devils souls to keep them from hurting our children.God please be with the families of our lost babies.Amen

Isn't anybody working on the cummings case anymore. If the police can't get anything out of Misty and or other family members, they most not have clever people on the PD force.
