MSNBC report naming the ACA shooter, Jiverly Voong.

UPDATE 4

It appears that the death toll in Binghamton may be as high as 16 victims. Another report names the shooter - 41-year-old Jiverly Voong, AKA Linh Phat Voong. An interesting observation about the name "Jiverly" as found via search engines - every other person with that first name was Asian and female. Also, I found a MySpace for a "Jiverly Voong" in "Nibiru, Kentucky," but it could very well be fake. It is, however, private, which is not in keeping with the usual reasoning behind making fake profiles - the profile creator usually wants others to be fooled.

UPDATE 3

The gunman apparently killed himself at the scene. His identification indicated that he was a 42-year-old male from upstate New York. Reports of the number of people killed vary between a dozen and 15, so far. Many more were wounded.

UPDATE 2

CNN is reporting (on-air) that the gunman, said to possibly be a Vietnamese (or at least Southeast Asian) male, has been found dead in the facility where the shootings took place. The mayor of Binghamton will hold a news conference at 4:30 p.m. ET.

UPDATE

Online Twitter-based news source BreakingNews states that as many as 13 have been killed in the assault on the American Civic Association in Binghamton. This news has not been confirmed, but CNN also reported (at 12:45 p.m. ET) that as many as a dozen people have been shot and killed.
