Seven people have been found dead in a trailer at the New Hope Plantation Mobile Home Park in Brunswick, GA. Two critically injured victims were removed from the same residence and taken to a medical facility in Savannah. Glynn County police chief Matthew Doering says the crime is one of the worst in county history. Glynn County director of the coroner's office Jimmy Durben agreed, telling local press that the mass murder was "the worst crime scene" he'd encountered in his 17 years with the coroner's office. The Brunswick chief of police believes neighbors in the mobile home park need to be vigilant:
Police chief Matthew Doering said neighbors should take precautions and report anything suspicious to police.
Doering said no one is in custody, but wouldn't reveal any information about who was involved in the killings.
Local, state and federal authorities are assisting in the investigation into what Doering has called a "horrific" crime.
