Christopher Revak: EMT, Serial Killer?
When he committed suicide in jail at the end of July, 2009, Ava, Missouri EMT Christopher E. Revak was only 36 years old. To all appearances the dark-haired, nice-looking emergency services worker was one of the good guys, working first as a firefighter before moving on to 6 years on a Taney County, MO ambulance crew.

If police are right about Chris Revak, though, he was anything but a good guy.
Revak was arrested in late July for the March, 2007 disappearance of Ava bartender Renee Williams. After he killed himself, police realized he wasn't on the hook for one disappearance, one homicide.
Chris Revak may have been a serial killer. This is from KSPR TV in Springfield, MO:
Monday Douglas County Sheriff Chris Degase said Revak is suspected in murders from two other states.
"He is a suspect in 3 other homicides on missing women, some of them dating back to 14 years ago," Degase said.
The sheriff said this is just the surface, indicating there may be other cases connected to Revak.
"he's done a great job of concealing from friends and co-workers they said it was totally out of character" [...]
Chris Revak seemed like a normal dad and husband, but police believe he was leading a truly Jekyll and Hyde existence.
With Revak gone, however, they are going to have a hard time proving their case. Investigators are still searching for the remains of Renee Williams, though they have DNA evidence that ties Revak directly to the bartender's disappearance. At the moment authorities have said very little about Revak's other [alleged] crimes, but Douglas County, MO Sheriff Chris Degase plans to discuss more details about the case today.
Some sources report that Revak once lived in Wisconsin. He has also lived in a few other locations in Missouri, close to the Arkansas border.
Any speculation as to other unsolved cases to which Chris Revak may be connected is welcome in the comments below. [KSPR, News-Leader.com]
