Nancy Grace: Haleigh Cummings' Stepmom, Misty Croslin, Flunks Polygraph

• What is the status of the 13 year old cheerleader in Texas who disapeared on the way to a friends house. Her mom's boy friend was/is into drugs and strange behavior. This story is about 4 weeks old.

• Hi Nancy, This has never come up, drugs have however did it ever occur to anyone that Misty was jealous of Hailegh?? After all she smokes like a stove Oxicontin has come up, did it ever occur to anyone that this young girl may be using marijuana, which causes immaturity?? Later, JUST A THOUGHT. • the daddy need to come clean and stop protecting that child he married. he know a lot more than he is saying and he look so stupid trying to fool everybody.no believe you DADDDY. you're putting another child over your child.

• Why don't they pick Misty Croslin up on suspecion or some other kind of charge and they after they get her there in jail, she'll sing like a canary. I think she traded the little girl, Haylee Cummings for drugs just to keep herself supplied with a quick fix. That's probably where Haylee is, in Orlando with the person she traded her to for the drugs. Why don't they check down there for Haylee? This is my own feelings, she traded the kid for drugs. Why don't they have an investigator follow her every move and then she will crack!!! and tell the truth about Haylee. PLKeene

• If that trailor's back door would close ( would not stay open) as the reporter showed on the Nancy Grace Show; how the Hell did Misty get up and see the back door open. The FBI really needs to put the "heat" on Misty.

• I pray for sweet little Haleigh every day several times a day. this whole story has made me so sad. My heart truly aches for Haleigh, Ron, little Junior, and his ex wife, the mother of the children. She has been left out of so much in this whole situation. I do not agree with many of the comments that are above my comments. I do believe that Misty croslin is involved and she knows the truth to the whole story about Haleigh. I believe in Ron's mother, his ex wife and her mother, and in Ron himself. This whole thing has these people are torn up, I hope for all their sakes that Haleigh is found alive and not hurt in any way,she is an adoreable little girl. May Gods watchcare be with her. • She know the kids 3 months then kid goes missing... and know one put her on the hot seat with answers such as (I dont know) not good enough this is a childs life we are talking about if she lays in her bed acts like a woman and then plays child about were Haleigh is and will not tell the truth tells me how horrible of a person she is. I pray to God that her real colors shine through. I know she did it..........Sad to know she`s free and haleigh is not coming home THATS THE TRUTH

• I agree w/Elizabeth Gebo. Both Misty & Ronald are responsible for Haleighs' disappearance & possible death. Point 1. Ronald works/worked w/heavy equipment that could easily bury her small body somewhere around his workplace. Point 2. Misty is not very bright so Ronald "set her up" as his accompliance, but she is unable to keep her story straight unlike Ronald. Point 3. Cadaver dogs or search dogs would not have "alerted" on any vehicle Ronald drove the kids to work in and possibly used the same vehicle to transport himself to work, because the scent of Haleigh was in the vehicle. Point 4. On most blogs and updates I don't recall police searching the area around Ronanld's workplace. Point 5. Ronald's recent comment "keep your friends closer & your enimies closer (re:he was referring to Misty at the time). This could be in order to keep Misty from telling the truth about Ronanld. Misty may be afraid of Ronald. Point 6. Per some accounts regarding Haleigh's health, she was costing Ronalsd & Misty time & money; trips to the doctor, prescriptions to be filled. And, I think her condition was only going to get worse, I'm not a doctor,this is only info from what I have read. I know that if that was my child I would never stop looking for her, I would dig up the entire county if needed. Shoot, I just let my 16 year old start watching SOME shows on MTV, and I have to watch them with her. She has been watching the disney channel till now, and she can drive.........

• I THINK RON AND MISTY WERE IN ON THIS TOGETHER THAT IS WHY THE WEDDING TOOK PLACE HE JUST STARTED A NIGHT JOB AND MAYBE HAD TROUBLE SLEEPING LITTLE HALEIGH WAS RUNNING AROUND LIKE ANY NORMAL 5 YEAR OLD SO HE BEAT HER THEY MADE THIS PLAN HE WOULD GO TO WORK AS USUALLY AND MISTY WOULD GET RID OF BODY OR MET HIM AT WORK AFTER DARK AND THEY BOTH GOT RID OF BODY EITHER BURIED IT OR THREW IT IN RIVER OR IN DUMPSTER BY WORK THEN SHE CAME BACK HOME WAITED FOR HIM TO GET HOME THEN CALLED POLICE HIS STATEMENT TO DISPATCHER DID NOT ADD UP RIGHT AWAY HE SAID FIND THE PERSON OR HE WILL KILL THEM HE DON,T CARE WHY DID HE SAY THAT INSTEAD HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN DRILLING MISTY THAT IS WHY I DON,T BY IT THEY BOTH ARE DRUG ADICTS HE DID NOT SEEM TO BE UPSET AT MISTY SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE LAST ONE WITH HER

• Polygraphs can't be failed, you may simply not pass. There is no distinguishing between nervousness, lying, intentional deception, etc.

• No parent would wait untill the father got home from work to report a child missing. The normal thing to do is report it ASAP. What was she attempting to get accomplished by waiting. Every second counts when a child gose missing, every parent knows that... unless you want to trail to go cold and I'm positive that is the case here.

• I think Misty Cummings holds the key to all of this. I thought from day 1 that the whole thing was staged. There is no way a stranger would know that those back doors shut by themselves and had to be propped open. I feel that Ron and Misty are covering for each other. The rushed marriage puts up a red flag to me. They are both disgusting,and those crocodile tears don;t fly with me.

• misty needs to give it up and tell what she knows. i don't think law enforcement or anyone working on this case needed to hear that she failed a lie detector test , because i think their gut feeling already knew that she isn't coming clean with the "rest of the story". it will probably eventually come out , and until it does she'll have to live with herself. i too feel that she was probably out partying and wasn't even home with the kids , and then again i keep thinking of the time i saw both of them on the tv , on good morning america or some such program shortly ofter they got married and when certain questions were posed to her she looked at him before she answered , it was the way she looked at him , like she was worried she'd say the wrong thing and make him mad or something , i don't know but it struck me odd , i've seen that behavior and that look before from women who were with controling , angry explosive men that they were afraid of. hey , isn't it against the law in flordia for someone her husbands age to be with a 17 year old? i always thought 18 was the magic age , guess not. anyway shame on them both , i think they were not the best parents they could have been. so many poor children born to and stuck with less then they deserve , it makes me so sad.

• I dont think it means anything either. I think she left the kids alone and went out partying. And since it was a trailer park, it was probably a thing she did regularly. With so many sex offenders in the area someone probably knew her habits.

• Polygraphs are not admissible in court, and don't measure anything useful. Innocent people who are particularly nervous can flunk it, and sociopaths who are guilty will pass it. This does not seem significant to me.
