Chuck Knoblauch: Can't throw, can't love
Former major-league second-baseman Chuck Knoblauch has been charged with beating and choking his wife in Houston. According to his common-law wife, Stacey Stelmach, she tried to take the car keys away from her husband because she thought he was too hammered to drive. That's when Knoblauch attacked her.

His lawyer's downplaying the incident as a basic domestic argument, but Knoblauch's been charged with assault on a family member.

During his playing days, Knoblauch was the American League Rookie of the Year and a four-time all-star with Minnesota, the Yankees and Kansas City. But he's best known for Chuck Knoblauch Syndrome after he mysteriously lost his ability to throw accurately from second base. He's also not the first Knoblauch to find trouble. His brother Raymond was convicted of raping a 17-year-old girl in 1989 while serving as baseball coach of Bellaire High School.
