Did gold digger kill her elderly boyfriend?
Phillip Garrido's May Have Been Raping for 40 Years

New information indicates Phillip Garrido, charged in the 18-year abduction of Jaycee Lee Dugard, may have been raping women and young girls over nearly four decades.
Police now say he was arrested in 1972 in California, accused of drugging a 14-year-old, then taking her to a motel and raping her. But the charges against Garrido, 21 at the time, were dropped when the victim refused to testify.
Police in Reno also say he was arrested in 1976 when he pretended his car was broken down and a woman gave him a ride. He supposedly handcuffed the woman and taped her mouth shut, then drove her to a storage shed where he repeatedly raped her.

I hope he meets a *nice* young man in prison. Someone who can fulfill his need for rough non consensual intimacy.
Posted 09/04/2009 at 04:36:39 PMThis is a terrible summary of recent news. Pete - I wish you would spend a little more time covering this news rather than just quick summaries and links to other news sites. I'm sure all of us can just as easily go to CNN or Fox News for this stuff. We come here for a little more digging.
Posted 09/04/2009 at 04:59:51 PMWhen the story first broke, there was mention of an FBI visit or at least a contact from the FBI to Dugard's mother a couple of weeks prior to the discovery of Jaycee. Has anything else about the timing of this contact come out?
Posted 09/05/2009 at 05:42:03 AMHe was convicted of raping the woman in 1976. There is no "supposedly" in that situation.
