Husband pimps out his pregnant wife
Raymond Clark reportedly failed a polygraph and has since lawyered up
More than a dozen police and FBI swarmed the apartment building of Raymond Clark in Middletown, Connecticut last night. Clark wasn't arrested, but police did have search warrants to take samples of Clark's blood, hair and skin.
The 24-year-old, an animal lab technician in the building where Annie Le worked, has increasingly become the focus of her murder investigation. She was found dead in her laboratory building at Yale University. Because so few people had access to the somewhat high security structure, police seem to be quickly narrowing the pool of suspects.
The New Haven Register previously reported that the technician failed a polygraph test, lawyered up during a police interview and had scratches on his chest, indicating he may have been involved in a struggle...
Annie Le was murdered just days before her wedding
According to The New York Times, Clark is described by others as something of a dick. Another researcher in his building says he hasn't been to work in a few days. His girlfriend, sister, and brother-in-law also work as animal research technicians at Yale. But Raymond was described by the colleague as "very officious and very demanding" and that he would bag on the grad students.
"For example, you're supposed to wear shoe covers on your feet, and he would make a big deal of it, instead of just requesting that they wear them," said the researcher, who asked not to be identified. "I told his supervisor."
Ann Marie Goodwin, a former neighbor, also described him as "very unsociable."The Hartford Courant reported last night that Annie died of asphyxiation, meaning she was likely strangled or suffocated. But the Connecticut coroner's office has yet to announce an official cause of death.
Jennifer Hromadk wrote that rumors of her fiance's affair were "stupid"
UPDATE: Whether this relates to Annie Le's murder or not, there appears to have been rumors that Raymond Clark was having an affair at the Yale laboratory where he worked. Before her blog was deleted, Clark's fiance Jennifer Hromadk addressed those rumors for the world to see, rendering them "stupid":
"He is a bit naive, doesn't always use the best judgement, definitely is not the best judge of character but, he is a good guy.
"He has a big heart and tries to see the best in people ALL THE TIME! even when everyone else is telling him that the person is a psycho or that the person can't be trusted. he thinks everyone deserves a second chance. and has a hard time hurting peoples feelings and it takes him getting burned to learn.
"My boyfriend, Ray, if you don't know him, has no interest in any of the other girls at [the university research center] as anything more than friends.
"This rumor of a 'fling' is probably the most stupid thing i have ever heard and really is not even worth going into detail about.
"Who are you to judge the life I live? I know I'm not perfect and I don't live to be, but before you start pointing fingers make sure your hands are clean!!"

Hmmm, the girlfriend of Ray is mentioned more and more often in the media reports. So, here's a twist... I wonder if she was at work that day? The scratches that Ray had on his chest may be from his girlfriend and not the victim. It would explain why he didn't pass the poly if he was all caught up with Ms. Le, even if only in HIS mind. Or, if he had knowledge of the girlfriend having done something to Ms. Le. They both packed up and left on Saturday from their apartment. From just this one pic of them together, I'd say she wore the pants in that household.

...or the girlfriend could have clawed him when she discovered what he had done..! But my guess is..they were made by the victim...time will tell I am sure.
Apparently, there's now a DNA match: http://nhregister.com/articles/2009/09/16/news/new_haven/doc4ab1aba51aaa2626821913.txt
Posted 09/17/2009 at 02:29:40 AMThe New York Post says Clark's highschool girl friend told them, in 2003, Clark "did force her to have sex with him."

The New Haven Independent reported on other details of Clark's controlling nature toward this young woman.

The New York Post story also quotes a source as saying Clark was the last person with Le, based on when keycards were swiped.
kudos to the swift response by law enforcement!
Posted 09/17/2009 at 05:14:38 AMcarnards by psychics, again, sigh
He was arrested and charged this morning. What a creep.
Posted 09/17/2009 at 09:17:52 AMAnd after this old girlfriend said that he "forced" her have sex she CONTINUED the relationship. So what she says means squat.
This story involves sex of some kind. Its not about anything but a spurned or ended relationship. Just watch.
Posted 09/17/2009 at 01:04:19 PMI believe there is much more to this story than meets the eye now. These people were all co workers. Very strange! His girlfriend's facebook gives me the creeps. Why would she be writing about him like this? If I was the investigator on this case, I would want to know why all three of these people took off from work after all of this suposedly took place. We need to know the entire story and the history these people have together.
