"This would be my guess: This is obviously foul play. Like everyone else has said, nobody just disappears off the face of the planet due to pre-wedding jitters. My guess this is someone who knew her, and knew the lab. Perhaps a fellow student, lab partner, or some other jealous and obsessed male who knew she was getting married this weekend.
"The alarm originated in the lab that she was working in! Either she triggered the alarm when she was attacked (see article she wrote about crime and street smarts) or the assailant triggered the alarm as a diversion. He was either able to escape with her alive through a remote exit, or casually walked out a remote exit with her during evacuation and grabbed her once outside, or killed her within the building and was able to get the body out unnoticed before she was reported missing/building searched.
"She was so small that her body could be stuffed in something and go unnoticed even on camera. Best case scenario - some nut is holding her hostage and she will be able to escape or plea for her release. Sad but true."
I just posted the exact same scenario on an ABC story. I now just found an article claiming one of her professors (she was to attend his class that very afternoon) canceled his class which was just before Annie was reported missing,and he has now been questioned by police. I think the teach is going to be in trouble!!!
