Cassandra Lauderdale Accused of Stabbing Dog to Death in Her Bathtub

​Crystal Morris says she and her roommate, Cassandra Lauderdale, were partying one night at their place in Stuart, Florida when Lauderdale decided to wash the dog. But dogs, as you may know, don't always like being washed. "The dog whipped around when she was trying to give it a bath and it tried to bite her," Morris told WESH-TV in Orlando.

So Lauderdale took the dog to the bathtub and stabbed it to death. This, quite naturally, freaked out her guests, who told police of the gory scene. When cops arrived, they found bloody clothes and towels strewn about.

But Lauderdale doesn't seem to understand what the big deal is. She readily admitted that she'd whacked the canine, confessing, ""I killed the bitch." Yet she didn't understand why this was anyone else's business, contending she had the right to kill her own dog. She's now charged with animal cruelty resulting in death.
