Lisa Pattison's husband is accused of crushing her neck with a weightlifting bar
Reader "Hmmm" responds to "Scott Pattison Indicted for Killing Wife Lisa with a Barbell." His/her take: There's a whole lot more to this case, and it may involve people in Marion, Indiana government:

"Basically what I am trying to say here is that in Indiana there are no qualifications to be a cororner. You just have to beat the other guy in the election. After that just do so many hours per year in training. The Grant County Coroner is not a doctor or anywhere close. He is a good guy though. Qualified to rule homicide by pressure being applied to weight I am not sure, but he is a good person.

"If the ex-assistant mayor of Marion is so innocent in this, why was she given immunity from prosecution to testify before the grand jury? As far as I know simply being a mistress or an adultress is a moral issue, not punishable in a court of law. So what did she do that she could have been charged for? Conspiracy, aididing and abetting?"
"Maybe she is the one that applied pressure to the weights if that is what happened. It doesn't take a person of strength to apply pressure. What could she have been charged with? Makes me wonder.

"This could just be an accident and happned the way Scott Patison said it did. Maybe Mrs. Pattison just got tried and the weights fell and she could not remove them in time. It looks like there was not a spotter there with her. This happened just recently with an NFL player.

Scott Pattison was indicted for murdering his wife
"Is the coroner of Grant County qualified to determine this or maybe part of a coverup to protect the former assistant mayor of anything she did wrong. She was grantd immunity from prosecution for some reason, what was it? She certainly has the people behind her to get all attention off her. The mayor and her police officer husband and the fact one of her good friends represented Scott Pattison at the grand jury hearings may not have helped him either. Is that why he only said his name and not what he told the police what happened? What would she have gained? I don't know. Was there a pricy life insurance policy in Mrs. Pattison's name that would benefit Scott Pattison in the case of her death then in turn by association his mistress perhaps?

"Maybe he is telling the truth. Maybe not. The closest hospital to his house is in Wabash not Marion. Maybe all this is why the Wabash prosecuter called for a grand jury to make the decision for him because he was not sure of all the evidence and getting too much political pressure from Grant County for charges to be pressed against Mr. Pattison."
