Utah's Hansen Brothers Get a Year for Punching, Peeing on Grandma

Christopher and Michael Hansen make a compelling argument for the death penalty in misdemeanor cases. They've pleaded guilty to the July attack on their grandmother, which may register as the biggest douchebag move in recorded history.

As grandma Rita Avery was taking a shower, Christopher burst into the bathroom and began throwing shampoo and baby powder bottles at her. Then he punched her in the face and shoved her, causing her to fall and smack her head. As she lay on the floor, he pissed on her.

When she got out of the shower, brother Michael Hansen shoved and punched her as well, then pissed on her clothes before deciding that it would be a good idea to punch holes in the walls of her home...

At sentencing, the brothers claimed they were upset at the recent overdose death of their mother, and blamed it on grandma -- without actually saying why it was grandma's fault. Waaa! They also admitted to being drunk at the time.

But according to Rita Avery's sister-in-law, Joy Allen, the boys have long been dicks. "They've always stolen money from her and slapped her around if she didn't have the money they wanted, and it's been a terrible life for her," she told the court.

As for Grandma, she still hopes they can mend their relationship: "I regret what happened, but I want them to know I love them and I forgive them. I really feel like we can go forward in this relationship."

The brothers were sentenced to a year in jail on misdemeanor charged of elder abuse, lewdness and criminal mischief. They'll also be forced to get counseling and their high school diplomas or GEDs. Most important: They can't have any contact with Grandma until a probation officer gives the okay.
