99-year-old man beaten over parking spot

An Italian anti-Mafia prosecutor has released the above video in hopes of finding witnesses to this mob hit. A man standing outside a store in Naples is shot once in the head, then again execution-style in the back of the head as the hit man leaves. But as he bleeds on the sidewalk, perhaps a dozen or more people are seen walking past with no one coming to his aid. One woman even pulls up his head to look at him, then walks away.

Wow. The indifference. Unless the guy who was shot was hated by the townspeople and they think he deserved it or they were relieved to see him gone. Doesn't mean they should have left his body there or treated him like a slaughtered goat.
Posted 10/29/2009 at 09:09:49 PMWow, I'm well and truly shocked! What inhuman indifference. Are they totally feelingless? How can they _not_ check what's wrong with him, and see if he needs help? The only reason the mafia got such a free run of Italia I believe boiles down to that level of indifference.
Posted 10/30/2009 at 01:14:16 PMUmmmm. The guy is dead. What do you expect them to do? Buy him a cola? Live by the sword, die by the sword.
Posted 10/30/2009 at 03:46:18 PMMr Appleseed, there is supposed to be due process before deciding someone died by a sword that he allegedly lived by. And, unless everyone who ignored him was a medical expert and could tell just by glancing at him that he was beyond resuscitation, then someone should have at least touched his carotid, if only out of self-respect. Now, go fetch me a cola and hike your skirt up so I an see your femoral artery clearly.
Posted 10/30/2009 at 07:41:53 PMUnreal! People are Desensitized now days. This is just the beginning of things to come; according to the bible. I was never so shocked to see all these people reacting in this manner. Where were all the cell phones to call the police? Did you see anyone flipping one out to make a call? It was like it was an expected routine that the town goes through. People closing up shop and on the run... The shooter was gone... why didn't some one see I this man was even alive so they could give him a moment of knowing that he is not dying alone? I just can't believe this was real. What blew my mind is, people was still going in the store, shop, what ever that place is.
Posted 11/01/2009 at 01:33:39 AMSeriously people. The people know a mob hit when they see one. When any one of you starts living in a place where mob-hits are commonplace, you will also turn your head and look away. No reason getting killed for something that is way out of your league.
