When police raided his apartment, they found what could be the world's greatest shrine to under-aged sex -- a wall-to-wall museum of child porn and photos of young Hollywood starlets, complete with handmade signs inviting him to have sex with them.
There were mannequins arranged to grope each other. Pictures of young girls shot with a telephoto lens on Wisconsin beaches. A poster of Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen with a sign telling him he was cute and asking him for a threesome. And, of course, the usual DVD collection of child porn...

Agents say virtually every surface was plastered with photos. Many had been printed from internet porn sites showing naked girls and sex acts. He also had store mannequins -- some teen-sized -- arranged in sex acts. There were piles of photos of Hollywood actress like Dakota Fanning. There were also pictures of Elizabeth Smart, the girl kidnapped at age 14 from her Salt Lake City bedroom. He even had a Hannah Montana lamp with "Make Love to Me Mom" handwritten on the shade.
Though the apartment was loaded with dolls and stuffed animals, Derks claims he never tried to lure children there, and denied having sex with kids. He said he began buying the mannequins in 1988, and started fantasizing about mothers and daughters having sex.
Perhaps the scarier part is that the apartment was also loaded with guns. Derks said he kept them for self-defense, just in case some "drunkard or crazy nut came though his door."
Of course, he quite acknowledge that a "crazy nut" already occupied the home. He's been charged with 20 felony counts of possessing child porn.
Umm...and why did you guys feel it was OK to show that photo of Miley Cyrus in her panties?

You know, I suffer through the spelling errors, the contradictory posts that are errneous due to you not bothering to proof them in a rush to get them posted, the sometimes factual errors. This is really tacky, tasteless, and dangerous. As a mom, I'm really offended. You should remove that photo.

You know, the stories they constantly run about the terrible sexual objectification of teens, which they accompany with long, adoring (sometimes even slow motion) shots of half-naked girls? Or the stories their demagogues do on "the scourge of sex slavery" filled with racy video of the very abused minors they claim to care so much about? And lest you think I'm just being partisan -- you can look it up. There was a study done of which news network showed the most sexual content, and FOX News was the winner, by a long shot. YOu can look up the study yourself -- it's too early in the morning for me to care that much.
The point is -- people who get their news from that channel, and stories like these, are merely indulging their sick fantansies in what they feel is a socially acceptable way. They pretend to abhor the very images that titillate them. Sick bastiches.

Posted 01/04/2010 at 08:05:13 PMCurious, isn't it? So many mothers here angry at The Powers That Be for daring to post that pic of Miley Cyrus. A number of months ago Vanity Fair arrived in my mailbox. Inside were sexual pics of Cyrus (at least one of which was posed with her father).
But where is the criticism - the outcry - that should be aimed at the parents of these girls (and boys) who become '''famous''' as children or teens and are immediately Sexualized by the Hollywood elite.
So, so many of these young lives are nuked by the time the former child reaches the age of 27. Suicide attempts. Drug and booze addicts. Multiple marriages and divorces and relationships. Insane parenting. Criminal records that go as far as murder.
