Oh, it's politically too expedient to give up now. So now even the illegales get to live with the worsening, the regression, of their world, the very aspect of Mexico they were trying to escape. But we're too chicken to do the right thing.
If we would eject the violent criminals who are here illegally, and ship them to Myanmar and put them in a pungy surrounded hard labor camp deep in the jungle for the rest of their lives, trust me, they would stop coming here in the blink of an eye.
And then the immigrants who come here legally, who fight so very hard to do all the right things to follow our rules, would get the relief from the barbarism they desperately want to get away from.
Freedom from oppressive, massive crime and corruption is something America can still offer with more certainty than the countries they flee.
But Special Order 40 is no less vulnerable to the Law of Unintended Consequences as any other human endeavor. And it suffers from sheer stupidity. Do not uphold the law in order to offer special protection to people who aren't upholding the law, either? What?
How the hell am I supposed to speak up against my fellow American without any protection in order to do my duty as a citizen if trespassers are exempted from the same standard?
How in the hell do you think this makes LEGAL immigrants feel? Answer that question before you start calling me and the legal immigrants racists.
I know. Nobody knows. So we'll just stand around befuddled and let the whole mess get worse.
As I keep asking. Do you want America to look more like Mexico? Believe me, the Mexicans who are here, cannot help but recreate what they know, but really, they want America to stop being insecure about being America and TAKE CHARGE.
If they really liked Mexico, they'd still be there.
They love Mexico. They just don't like Mexico. I understand.
