| Hee Orama has a very loose definition of the word "emergency" |
Last week, police in Clarksville arrested her for repeatedly calling 911 to say she couldn't find her car. This, naturally, was an emergency for Hee, but not so much for local police, who apparently have more pressing matters and want you to listen when they tell you to stop calling.
But our fair maiden didn't get the message. This week she was on the horn to 911 again, complaining that her boyfriend was lying about marrying her. Police went to her house twice to explain again that her matrimonial status was not an urgent law enforcement concern. But she still called again and was warned she'd be arrested if she kept calling...
Clarksville police say they don't want to pick on the woman; they just can't afford wasting manpower on non-essential calls, especially when it may be needed for a real emergency. What they really need to do is threaten to arrest her boyfriend unless he marries her and gets her off their back.

"It seems people in Tennessee struggle with the whole concept of 911."
Don't lump all of us Tennesseans together for the idiotic actions of a few.
Posted 11/05/2009 at 10:55:20 PMyep, we even have commercials on the radio about when and how to properly call 911.
Something tells me that Hee is not a native Tennessean! Maybe they should get a translator so she truly understands what 911 is for.
Posted 11/06/2009 at 03:10:00 PMI know this woman, Hee Orama.
Posted 11/12/2009 at 10:44:15 PMAs matter of fact, she's suffering from
