| Martha "Bettina" Richmond was found dead outside a Bowling Green parks and rec building |
Police discovered her body after her husband Thomas, also a Western Kentucky math professor, became worried when she didn't return home after playing racquetball. Why a middle-aged professor would be murdered in a government parking lot remains unknown. Police aren't releasing any details, other than to say she was killed in her minivan...
Bettina had spent 23 years teaching at the rural Kentucky school, and had authored at least one book with her husband. She had been on leave the last two semesters to care for her sickly parents in Germany, one of whom has died.
