"Get on your knees! I was a bully in highschool with big insecurity problems. When I graduated with my 2.8 GPA, I knew I wanted a job that granted me power so I could keep being myself. Now I'm a police officer and you must OBEY me! I am the law.
"A minute ago, you were just a law abiding citizen driving home to go to sleep, but now I am yelling at you, ORDERING you to turn your back to my aimed gun and get on your knees...!
"The pavement is hard and you have old knee injuries, but I wouldn't know or care. Your license plate was crooked so there is no room for talking, only obedience. I love my job. WAKE UP!!!
"Because I said so" is only enough to put a coward on his knees. Let them walk over you now and your children will pay the real price. Politicians = people Police = people Judges = people Doctors = people YOU = people. We're all just people, have some self respect and think for yourselves. Here's how in case you forgot: "Is it reasonable for me to be put on my knees at gunpoint?" Yes: kneel down No: stand tall I'm scared: ok, kneel down It's as simple as that.
"You're free to comply out of fear when you're being harassed, but it's not the guy's "fault" for demanding a basic level of human respect. Shame on you short-sighted cowards."

if you actually watch the video, the cop is telling the guy to turn around for about 3 minutes while he stands there defiant. Most cops (scrath tha), most people wouldnt have the patience to try to give an order for 3 minutes before tasing him. Everybody would be singing a different song if this guy pulled out a gun out of his pocket.

I am going to agree with you Ryan. The driver was not in anyway right, anyone with basic knowledge of police officers should know:
a. at a traffic stop do not leave your vehicle.
b. do not approach the officer if he is not fully in control of the situation.
c. listen to the officer unless you want to be restrained.
I am not a a huge fan of cops but in this case he did the right thing he was protecting himself in situation that could have been deadly.

Apparently some people take it way too personally when they are told to get on their knees. It is just a method of giving the police a few microseconds to see a person becoming violent and so they can maintain the advantage they need for their safety.
But fortunately for us, the sweater headed fool was too stupid to get the hint (or tweaking too hard), so his shrill shrieks are highly entertaining.
Paging Paul Blart. (Hey Roke, you wanna' respond to that? Take the Segway.)
