60 years of the FBI's Most Wanted list
The beef reportedly began when substitute math teacher Randolph Forde pulled a 16-year-old boy out of his classroom one day to ask if he was gay. Why he needed that info is unknown, but Forde and the boy supposedly traded words about the question the next day.![]()
Georgia teacher Randolph Forde is accused of trying to pay another student to kill a boy
The student reported both incidents with Forde, but nothing came of it. Forde, however, apparently still had a beef with the boy...
A few weeks later, according to police in Clayton County, Georgia, the teacher is accused of pulling another kid off the bus to say he needed to whack the 16-year-old. When the student asked who, Forde supposedly held up a piece of paper with the 16-year-old's name written on it.
Kids being kids, word of the hit quickly found its way to the intended victim. The 16-year-old boy went home to tell his mom. "He says, 'Ma, you're not going to believe this but Mr. Forde offered another student money to kill me,'" mother Marcia Killebrew told WSBV-TV. "I was extremely upset. I called the school at that moment."
Forde was arrested for making terroristic threats. His lawyer says it was just a joke that's been blow way out of proportion. But prosecutors don't seem to be buying that. Forde's been put on leave.

The story wasn't clear about why this happened. Was the teacher a Homophobe and didn't want a gay kid in his class? Was the teacher wanting to see if the kid was gay so he could hit on him but was turned down? Either way, this man is crazy! How long has he been teaching? He should know that kids blab! And thank goodness the kid who was asked to do the "hit" did blab because who knows what may have happened. I hope that other Homophobic teachers get the message but sadly, they probably won't!
Posted 11/17/2009 at 09:43:57 PMThis is sadly typical of the kind of garbage hired to teach children these days...disgusting
Posted 11/17/2009 at 11:38:11 PMI don't understand that part right now either, Rob. But we'll update it when we get more info.

Jaydee, it's got nothing to do with "these days." Word just gets around much faster with much less viable information than it used to. Don't discredit an entire profession based on bad apples that have always been there please.
Posted 11/18/2009 at 02:03:31 PMAnyone ever heard about innocent until proven guilty? Teachers, especially in high schools, have one of the toughest jobs today and a whiff of wrongdoing - even if false or a misunderstanding or a joke or a vendetta by a student for a bad grade -- can get you fired, despite all the great things you may have been doing for all the students in your classes. Take a chill pill and let the facts come out.
Posted 11/18/2009 at 02:10:28 PMNail the guy, yeah, but what the hell is that crap about terroristic threats?
Posted 11/18/2009 at 02:14:27 PMTess - It's presumed innocent until proven guilty, and it in no way applies to people talking on the internet. It has to do with us, it just means that the burden is on the prosecution to prove they are guilty. Google it if you care to learn more.
Posted 11/18/2009 at 02:15:50 PM@Steve Grenutz,
You are wrong. All teachers are homophobic murderers. It is an obvious conclusion I draw from the sample size of ONE. Trust me, it's science.
Posted 11/18/2009 at 02:22:52 PMThank you Hot for Teacher. Can't argue with science.
Posted 11/18/2009 at 02:36:40 PMWhy was nothing followed up on when the student reported inappropriate actions regarding his sexuality, twice? That is about as clear a warning for the kids safety as you could hope for. With the way substitutes are treated and hired... You have to wonder if the teacher did this out of the blue, or if there were other warning signs.
Posted 11/18/2009 at 02:55:57 PMI don't see how his threat can be called terroristic.
Posted 11/18/2009 at 02:57:21 PMDerp, terroristic threats is just the legal term -- probably a really old one -- used in a lot of states for the crime of threatening someone. It's not meant to imply terrorism like we know it today. In this case, it's simply the act of making a threat against another person designed to provoke terror in the target.

Posted 11/18/2009 at 05:47:29 PMThis article may have a lot of Diggs, but journalistic excellence it does not.
Posted 11/18/2009 at 07:10:52 PMI find it funny how teachers in poor schools with limited funding not to mention under staffed are getting hung out to dry. Alot of attention is being focus on foolishness.teachers also have to babbysitters and and pick up the slack where so call concerned parents lack off.in alot of poor neighborhoods parents are not paying close attention to kids behivor, only when the child is in a jam,or a fincial opp. present its self.
Posted 11/18/2009 at 10:15:52 PM@ Josh
Dont call someone a MORON, if you dont know how to spell the word!
Posted 11/19/2009 at 01:27:18 AMThis story is so unclear, what if the teacher was saying "whack" as in hit him in the head?
Posted 11/19/2009 at 03:26:54 AM@jaydee
Hey, this was a SUBSTITUTE teacher. Don't clump a questionable substitute teacher with the throngs of quality teachers (and subs, for that matter). This is certainly an exception, not the rule.
Posted 11/19/2009 at 08:07:49 AMhe is a substitute teacher for a reason, i used to torment all subs back in high school :)
Posted 11/19/2009 at 11:52:29 AMOut of curiosity, is the student black or white.
Posted 11/19/2009 at 05:08:05 PMWho was the student.
