| Do lacrosse players need some kind of gender etiquette training before they're allowed on campus? |
According to police at the small Connecticut Catholic school, Timothy Sanders was having consensual sex with the woman in a dorm room. That's when two other players -- Nicholas Travers and Zachari Triner -- entered the room naked.
As the woman tells it, Sanders held her down and invited the other two to join them. She says that after a struggle, Travers and Zachari ran away...
But Sanders' lawyer, Wayne Keeney, says the incident was nothing more than drunk college boys acting stupid. He acknowledges that Travers and Zachari entered the room naked, but only to punk their friend Sanders as a prank. They never touched the woman, and none of the men had any intention of hurting her, he claims.
"I can appreciate that this young woman was put in an embarrassing set of circumstances through some sophomoric, college-boy antics, but there's no indication from what I can see or discern so far that there was any sexual assault there," Keeney told the Huffington Post.
All three players have been charged with conspiring to commit sexual assault, and all have been suspended from school. Sanders is also charged with unlawful restraint.

What do you mean "another Lacrosse rape case." After the racial witch hunt for the boys accused of sodomizing, kidnapping, raping & sticking plug-ugly fat Crystal Mangum in a closet, the jocks were acquitted -- because she lied thru her fucking teeth. Another man was charged when he wasn't even there! Privileged men from wealthy families were targeted & because they're White. Cunt Crystal worked as a "stripper" & the owner of that bar was blind. Obviously! Because if he saw what she looked like he'd never have hired her. But the Duke Lacrosse men specifically asked for White dancers and that bee-yotch shows up. *gag* A Black woman pissed off because Whites wouldn't touch her. No shit, sherlock.
But this so-called case is a stupid White woman in a White boy's dorm room and she's fucking around. Why charge the boys with anything, she's in THEIR dorm room, of course other men will walk in. DUH.
But to push the racial / rape buttons of "lacross" and try comparing that lying, conniving Black fuck Crystal Mangum with this case is beyond shitty.

You are a sick f*ckin freak. Honestly, that's the best thing to see in the world? That is just freakin disgusting. I can only imagine that you think that's right because you have been involved in some sort of gang rape before. You need to get your freakin head checked.
Radium,
She is just a dumb white woman who is messing around? She was in their dorm, so why charge them? Your just as stupid and sick as simba. Just because she was in their dorm doesn't mean it wasn't rape. She could have said yes to all of them but the SECOND she said NO it becomes rape.
You both are sick f*cks who need to get your heads examined. Its pigs like you who give all men bad names. Why don't you just get off the computer and go back to your cells to meet up with bubba. I'm sure the women you raped feel safer knowing your behind bars.
Posted 11/27/2009 at 01:01:58 AMdamn, bobby knight was right: it woujldnt be rape if the woman just lays back and tries to enjoy it. then it is simply sex.
besides, any woman who entertains athletes should know better.
Posted 11/27/2009 at 10:12:49 AMYou know, I cannot imagine what kind of "men" you are. Its ok? Its the best thing in the world? Does your mother or girlfriend or wife think that your actually a "man"? Do they know what kind of sick freaks you are? Cause believe me, if they did, they wouldn't be associated with you. I have NEVER been with another guys friends, NEVER. That's just disgusting. Most guys I know would consider that cheatin, regardless if they could watch or not. And they would also agree that its disgusting that "men" like you think this type of situation is hot.
She "entertained" athletes so she should know better? I have been with lots of athletes and have never been treated like this girl was. If your going to sterotype athletes, then all 4 of you sick f*cks must be athletes if you think this type of behavior is right.
Go crawl back down the holes you came out of. Your all disgusting if you think rape is hot.
Or maybe your all rapists.........doesn't seem so far from the truth to me, thinking that rape is hot.
Posted 11/28/2009 at 01:02:26 AM"I have been with lots of athletes"??? Really? Sounds like you're (that how you spell it by the way- not "your") a bit of a jock sniffer. You must be one of the rare coozes whoe doesn't like her man to watch her getting a different cock up her every now and then. Maybe it's you who has the problem. I'm sure every guy here knows the turn-on of watching her girl get stuffed by a friend...
Posted 11/28/2009 at 01:51:37 AMI didn't mean been with as in "been" with. Most of my friends growing up were athletes, and the majority of those were guys. When you grow up in a small town with more males than females, and its all about sports, you don't have many options pertaining to friends.
And I'm the one with the problem? You all think this is hot, and I AM the one with the problem? You all are sick f*ckin freaks who need some serious help. And for your information, no my husband would not like to watch his friends with me. Some REAL men have standards.
But then again, I heard that rapists can't be cured, so you are all screwed. Hopefully one day you will all meet big bubba in prison (since that's where rapists always end up) and when your screaming in pain, HIS friends will laugh and cheer him on cause they think THAT'S hot.
Posted 11/29/2009 at 01:07:04 AMConsider that it's a Catholic school. There are probably all kinds of honor code violations going on, up to and including pre-marital sex. If it wasn't assault of some sort, and only a case of world-class embarrassment, I'd bet the girl's ONLY way to get out of this without being suspended or expelled is to cry rape.
Posted 11/29/2009 at 05:21:10 AMI've looked up other stories about the incident, and the student handbook as well. A story on the DailyRecord.com from the AP newswire service refers to the girl as a student, suggesting she's a Sacred Heart University student, and also states:
"Keeney [Sanders' attorney] said the bed was lofted 5 feet off the floor, raising questions about the woman's description of events."
The story also states that alcohol was involved.
Given all that, and checking the policies in the SHU student handbook, the woman involved should be suspended as well. Sanders is no angel in his own right. But regardless of the accusations the woman has made, the situation she was in -- having had drinks and being with a male student in a room in on-campus student housing -- is in violation of several policies laid out in the student handbook.
Housing policies, including limitations of visitors, and what is/is not permitted start on page 50:
http://www.sacredheart.edu/download/2623_copy_of_handbook_09_10a.pdf
All this just reinforces my opinion that the woman involved is crying rape in order to get out of some other trouble.
Posted 11/29/2009 at 06:22:26 AMI read through all the previous comments and just shake my head. It seems everyone has their own 'spin' on what is said in this article and they go off on that.
- The comparison to the Duke Lacrosse case was stating that this could get just as blown out of hand. Nothing more.
- There was no rape. No one accused any one of rape. The charge is conspiracy and unlawful restraint.
No matter what, the boys did something wrong. Even if it was meant as just a joke. Sander's attny said it correctly "this young woman was put in an embarrassing set of circumstances through some sophomoric, college-boy antics" Yes, she put herself in a bad position. Any mother with a wit of sense will teach their daughter NOT to do this. HOWEVER, this does not excuse the boy's actions. All should be held accountable to the school's honor codes and policies. Does any of this warrant criminal charges? If the only one that actually touched her was Sanders, the unlawful restraint could be pressed. If the others did not touch her this will boil down to school discipline for them.
Posted 11/29/2009 at 01:49:52 PMYes I agree that a mother should teach her daughter to stay away from situations like this. But I wonder, why always blame the female?
Now, I'm not sayin she didn't cry rape or that there wasn't rape, I don't know, I wasn't there. But it seems to me that women are usually always blamed in situations like these. "She should have known better", "she should have been more careful", and the list goes on and on. Why is it always our fault? Don't we live in the age where we should feel safe around men?! Or I guess I'm just wishful thinking.
This might have been a joke by the boys, but that does not excuse their behavior. To go by your thinking, just me, if its our jobs as mothers to teach our daughters to stay away from situations like these, shouldn't the fathers teach their sons how to treat and respect women? The only safe 100% sure fire way to keep our daughters from something like this happening is to lock them up were its safe. You never know when something like this, or worse, could happen.
Reading some of the comments above, it makes me wonder if those "men" were taught how to treat and respect women. I doubt it, tho.
