Undercover Investigation Reveals Kitten Deaths and Other Animal Suffering. Learn More.
Regardless of what you think about using animals for scientific animals for scientific research, this undercover PETA video shot at a University of Utah lab shows the kind of stuff Josef Mengele enjoyed. Chemicals and electrodes are injected into animals' heads, holes are drilled in their skulls, and sick ones are left to die.

Thank you for posting that. If people would educate themselves about what is actually going on in labs who do animal experiments, they would be stopped, and a lot of tax dollars would be saved. Not to mention the suffering of animals.
Class B lab dealers who take pets from free to good home ads, to sell to labs, is another subject people need to know about.
Posted 11/19/2009 at 07:42:48 AMIs this a crime?
Posted 11/19/2009 at 08:02:26 AMno, its all being done legally therefore I question its reliance to this website.
If you do want to highlight animal cruelty, I suggest you start another website and keep this one for actual crimes.
Jon, there are plenty of things that are legal but are not morally acceptable. Slavery used to be one of those things. These animals are victims of unnecessary cruelty, and their plight needs to be brought to more people's attention.
Posted 11/19/2009 at 10:08:17 AMLegality is binary. This is supposed to be a crime blog, not a morality blog. If it starts skewing into this territory without any kind of crime reporting, just the reporter posting stuff he disagrees with, then this blog is losing its focus and will lose hits.

God bless you Delilah

Posted 11/19/2009 at 11:29:06 AMAnimal testing is sick, wrong, and cruel. And this coming from someone who eats meat.
Posted 11/19/2009 at 02:24:57 PMThis makes me so angry. I don't even watch the videos.
Posted 11/19/2009 at 02:44:16 PMRealize this has been going on for damn near a hundred years now. These sick bastards who run these labs and do these '''experiments''' on defenseless creatures are the same kind of people who commit and have committed the same kind of abuse on defenseless children, mental patients, and jailed individuals.
Read sick bastards like Aldous Huxley and the 'scientist' Ivan Pavlov - they turned animals into quivering nut cases - and did the same to humans.
And it still goes on today because these sickos want to learn about what kind of abuse works best so they can transfer their knowledge to treating humans the same way.
Posted 11/19/2009 at 10:37:36 PMIf this site loses hits from the likes of "Jon" and "Javier" then nothing is really lost.
They feel pain and fear like we do, except they are powerless to stop it.
Posted 11/23/2009 at 03:00:17 PMOnly sociopaths think this is OK.
I can't watch science and drug experiment videos showing what we do to animals in the name of OUR health and welfare. I watched more than my share years ago and I did my duty. I knew before I started watching them then that it would make me ashamed. Sadly, it hasn't stopped like it should.
Vidya is right, Jon and Javier are callously wrong.
I firmly believe we should test anything before we're told to ingest it, wear it or use it. But we should take our own lumps.
Besides, animal testing is lazy and only delays human access. Lawyers require it, not common sense or human safety. We don't know how anything will affect humans until we test it on humans.
Every time I hear people trash PeTA, I secretly cheer them on. At least they, someone, SOMEONE is trying to stop the agony and needless suffering.
THIS is something America could lead the world on and deserve a prize for that I would be proud to stand up and claim as my core belief. That, and being enormously proud of and supportive of Our Troops and any missions they deem suitable to conduct.
Period.
