Jennifer and Paul Budrawich made their biweekly trip to Dawson County, Georgia to visit her two children, who are in the custody of relatives. But before they arrived, police received a frantic 911 call from Jennifer: "Why are you shooting us?" she could be heard pleading over the phone...

"Why did you bring me down here to the river?"

The 911 call recorded Jennifer's conversation with her kidnapper. But since she apparently had a gun pointed at her as the call came through, police had no idea where she was.

Kilgore's nephew, Benjamin Kelly Mullinax, was charged with evidence tampering, apparently for helping to dump the car
They caught a break Saturday night when they located her car parked near a grocery store in Pickens County. Surveillance tape showed a man dropping it off in a parking lot, then getting into a waiting blue pickup and driving away.

Clues in the abandoned car led detectives to the Amicalola River, where searchers found her body Sunday. The body of her husband Paul was found this morning, 600 yards down-river. Both had been shot.

Police have now arrested two of Jennifer's relatives in the murder. Jesse James Kilgore is accused of shooting his 21-year-old stepdaughter and her husband, though the motive has yet to be revealed. In a weird twist, Kilgore is also the father of one of Jennifer's children. We're not sure if that was born from a consensual relationship or something more nefarious.

Also charged with evidence tampering is Kilgore's nephew, Benjamin Kelly Mullinax, 27. Judging by the charges, we can assume he was the man who helped dump Jennifer's car.

Aside from impregnating his stepdaughter, Kilgore is already known as something of a douchebag in Dawson County. Along with his 19-year-old son and another man, he was arrested in June for a series of burglaries in which they allegedly stole fixtures, appliances and furniture to furnish a home Kilgore was building.
