Maurice Clemmons, Accused Cop Killer, Shot in Seattle

• I read the parole board documents, posted elsewhere, and the only party who forcefully argued one way or the other was a judge-- for Clemmons. The rest of the board said no. If anyone should feel just as culpable it is that judge. I would like to think the judge did not consider Clemmons color, but, I have doubts. I think Huckabee let the seeming conversion to Christianity overly influence his various grants. Huckabee, though a charismatic and Christian-hearted man, is sometimes deeply wrong. My fear is that he will chalk up the part his decision played in the deaths of the officers to God's will and let it trouble him no more. This is another aspect of Christianity that I find very disturbing. So much easier to let God handle it than face the enormity of the albeit unintended consequences of your choices. No belief system can answer all questions so we rest with perfect peace. At least, not with humans doing the interpreting.

• Ms nicollette, Where in any of the stories have you read that these slain officers did anything wrong to anyone? How can you be so heartless? Let's forget for just a second that they are cops. They are still someones father, son, mother, daughter, wife, husband, friend. How can you sit there and wish the death on someone innocent, regardless of their profession. I am so sick of people bashing cops. Yes some cops are idiots, but so are some doctors. I don't go bashing ALL doctors because one that I have seen probably got her license out of a cracker jack box. Nicollette, I can only imagine that you feel for the suspect. If that is the case, you SERIOUSLY need to get your head checked. Anyone who walks into a store, opens fire on INNOCENT people, and just leaves, needs to be given the highest penalty there is, and I do believe justice was fairly surved here. Let's not forget there WERE other people in that coffee shop. He obviously had no concern for other lives. I hope one day, karma comes back to bite you in the ass. You think cops are pigs? Wait til the next time you need one. I hope they are to busy helping someone else more appreciative of them than you. God bless the fallen and their families. Help them thru the pain and heart ache. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who knew these officers.

He suffered. That delights me endlessly. When monsters suffer, that makes me happy. That is an appropriate response and I will not be made to feel wrong because I have the correct response to that knowledge. If you want to try to scold me for rejoicing in someone else's misery, stop right there because I have an excellent answer to that little false debt you try to levy: if you feel sorry for the dispatched killer, there is something wrong with *YOU.* YOU callously stomp on the victims' memory and the hearts of their surviving loved ones when YOU focus on the "feelings" of the dead killer. So stop rushing to feel bad for the killer because *I* delight in his suffering and now his death. Instead, choose to rush faster to focus on the true victims and stay focused. I don't fall for the bullshit that if we don't treat every human like they are *ENTITLED* to the same respect then it's time for us to take our eyes off the criminal and his crimes to suddenly start analyzing *our* inability to forgive. Wrong, wrong, wrongity-wrong. No, it is not time for that. No, it is time to honor the slain officers and their families. I'll forgive when I'm good and ready to do that, when it is requested and I will not waste one iota of energy feeling bad about it. Maybe you'll fall for that tired LIE, but I don't. What I do is learn. In order to do that effectively, so I'm not reinventing the wheel every day, is I NEVER FORGET. I fully believe that four fresh archangels overwatch their brethren with stronger wings now that their murderer decays in hell. Yes, I do. "...Accused..." Oh yeah. Let's all pretend. Let's extend even the most ludicrous of benefits of doubt to the KILLER before doing so to the cops. Sure, let's all pretend. I'd like two sugars in my Barbie tea cup please *holds out empty cup for air cubes.*

• The Washington State police should be very proud, and we can all breathe a sigh of relief. Thank goodness that monster is where he belongs: in hell. Now, if we would get over ourselves and let those who, legally, sit on death row, be in fact executed, immediately, in every state, watch how fast this kind of shit plummets to the bottom of the charts. My heart and mind remain on the surviving loved ones. At least, they will not have their suffering prolonged by a protracted, obscene and defense designed purposely made extra expensive trial and appeal scheme. The sooner we disinfect our society of career criminals such as the walking infection named Clemmons, and without hesitation, the sooner we can all relax and have the freedom to walk safely *anywhere.*
