Neighbors Who See Stabbing Kick Ass
A Reader's Story of Caution on Meeting Strange Men

"I met a weirdo New Years Eve. Though I didn't go home with him on the first night we met or let him pick me up directly in front of my home, I did agree to go on a date with him two days later. I should have talked to him more on the phone and felt him out first; met him in a public area; etc.
"After about five minutes in his car, I started to feel in like I was in danger. I got in defensive mood and started to treat him like I wasn't scared of him when he tried to put my hands on his lap. In all reality I was terrified, but ready to fight. Still, he is a man and quite capable of overpowering me.
"I told him let's go to a club that I knew if he tried anything when I tell him to take a hike, he would have to think twice (gangsta spot). Then I called my dad to come get me later and called the psyco to tell him never to call me again with his deranged azz. It could have went a lot worst. Thank God it did not.
"In any case, I too have a daughter and it was DUMB of me to go out at night with a guy I don't know. STUPID!?!?!?!?? I'm 26 y/o and should know better. SMH. We as women need to wise up and trust our instincts because I knew he was not acting right.
"He told me he would arrive at 10:30 and made up all sorts of stories about getting lost and pulled over by the cops and when he finally arrived past midnight he wanted me to show him where I live and come in my house instead of going out.
"The signs were all there. All I had to do was open my eyes and trust my instincts. I know better, and I should have done better. Not trying to blame the victim, just stating the facts. SPK in MIA..."
