On December 26, Albert Turner walked into his in laws' house and brutally murdered his wife and mother-in-law. The city of Rosenberg, Texas was shocked to say the least. Not only was it the first murder in five years, but Turner seemed the most unlikely killer...

44-year-old Turner had worked as a prison guard since 1992. The only write-up he had was from 2006, when he failed to properly lock a door to the prison release area. He was also married to Keitha Frank, a daughter of pillars of the community. Keitha's father happened to be Dr. Gene Frank, a pastor who'd founded the Church of the Living Waters and its school.

But despite all the signs of a well-adjusted, happy family, something made Turner snap that night after Christmas Day. Police described the murder scene as one of the grizzliest they'd ever seen. Both Keitha and her mother were stabbed to death, while Dr. Frank sustained a stab wound to the head. Turner, however, is still nowhere to be found.

To this day, police are being tightlipped about a motive -- though it was rumored that the couple had recently separated. What is clear is that Turners' children are now terrified that they're father will come back for them. Apparently, his children witnessed the gruesome murder. It was one of them who called 911. And until their father is captured, their relatives say they will have no peace.

At first, police thought Turner may have fled for his home state of Florida. But just a day after the murder, authorities in Georgia located his 1994 Honda Accord submerged in a river. Still, Turner was nowhere to be found.

As Turner remains on the loose, the residents of Rosenberg are convinced that he's intent on coming back for his children, who range in age from 7 to 12. For the past month, they have been staying with their aunt and uncle, Gamilla and Darren Frank. Gamilla says that the children are so on edge, that when the couple's burglar alarm accidentally went off just a week ago, the 7-year-old insisted she was having a heart attack. Now, the children refuse to go to bed until they know the alarm is set, and the police make frequent stops by the house.

Investigators say they have received loads of tips as to Turner's whereabouts -- including one they think might be particularly helpful. Crime Stoppers is offering a $5,000 reward for tips leading to his capture. Turner is 6-foot-1 and about 270 pounds. Anyone with information is being asked to contact the Rosenberg police at 832-595-3700.
