Mark Kerrigan, the 45-year-old brother of Olympic skater Nancy Kerrigan, was apparently drinking heavily at the home of his parents in Stoneham, Massachusetts. He'd been living in their basement since he was released from jail two years ago for assault...

Nancy Kerrigan's father died after her brother grabbed him by the neck and threw him to the ground.
He told police he wanted to used the phone in the wee hours of Sunday morning, but his father, 70-year-old Daniel Kerrigan, wouldn't let him. So he grabbed dad by the throat and threw him to the ground.

Officers were called at 1:30 a.m., where they found Daniel unconscious and not breathing on the kitchen floor. A very hammered Mark was discovered in the basement.

"He was clearly intoxicated; he was also extremely combative with the police, very violent," Middlesex County Assistant District Attorney Elizabeth Healey told WCVB-TV. "He refused to comply with their orders and they had to subdue him with the use of pepper spray. He had to be forcibly removed from the home."

Mark Kerrigan, an unemployed plumber, apparently suffers from post-traumatic stress syndrome from his service in the army. His mother Brenda was home at the time, but she's blind and only heard an argument.

So far, Mark's only charged with assault. But we're guessing that will at least get upgraded to manslaughter.
