99-year-old man beaten over parking spot

| Boyfriend Larry Malone is charged with beating the dealer with a chair leg, thus illustrating an adventurous taste in weaponry |
Police say the couple went Old Testament on the dealer; Mitchell was seen bleeding from the head outside the home and was sent to a hospital for stitches and swelling.
But this case isn't turning out so well for the vigilante. Mitchell may now know better than to sell to 12-year-olds with very protective mothers, but Spraggins and Malone are presently in the clink for assault and inappropriate use of furniture.

awe, did someone get a beatdown, LMAO, forgot to use the kitchen sink on this douchebag!
Posted 01/19/2010 at 02:50:51 PMWell doesn't this beat all? If the cops were there in the project doing their job in the first place, this may not have happened. I live in Memphis, the last place you find a cop is in the projects. The first place you go looking for drugs is in the projects. It's not rocket science! But, no, they would rather put two people in jail for trying to protect their home/family. This is so wrong on so many levels. I know you can't go getting all vigilante on folks, but c'mon...I've seen them (the cops) turn a blind eye to much worse offenses than this.
And sorry, but Larry looks like he may have been smoking some green in that pic of him! just sayin'
Posted 01/19/2010 at 02:52:55 PMIt sucks they are in jail, drugs get by cops very easily and its good to see a mother protect her child. Hopefully they wont be charged with anything due to the circumstances. I understand why they are in jail though, if someone calls the police and is saw committing assault the cops have to do something about it. They have to look into it atleast, but hopefully they'll be in and out and back protecting their neighborhood.
Posted 01/19/2010 at 05:01:58 PMThe city of Memphis (a crime infested burg if ever there was one) should be issuing an award for the Vigilante Momma, rather than locking her up and planning how their justice system wants to 'punish' her.
This turd drug dealer is certain to have learned a lesson. Not about dealing drugs. He's probably already selling more as I type these words. BUT, one can bet he's gonna think long and hard about conducting business with a young kid.
Posted 01/20/2010 at 12:36:34 AMThis time I really can't disagree with them too much. There is no lower form of life than an adult who would sell drugs to kids.
Posted 01/20/2010 at 07:26:08 AMWonder what she did to her kid? I shudder to think.
Posted 01/20/2010 at 08:45:03 AMWhy are they being charged? Why isn't the dealer in the clinker for his own crimes? What he did is far worse than the beating they gave him. He was corrupting a minor, enabling a child to obtain and use drugs. Frankly had it been my child stitches would be the last of his worries. These turds LOVE getting their hands on kids, hooking them while they are young and enslaving them with addictions to keep their pockets fat.
The system is screwed up. People can't protect their children from scummy dealers nor protect their homes from people that would come into them to steal everything they worked hard to earn without facing charges. It is a sad day when a criminal has more rights than law abiding citizens.
Posted 01/20/2010 at 02:12:09 PMthere is a local radio show with thaddeus matthews and they were discussing this incident the other day. the callers were all saying that mom and boyfriend looked like crack users and there is probably more to this story. i thought boyfriend looked a little fried! they said his pic looks like his lips are burned from hitting the pipe too hard, and that her white lips are a tell all about her usage. i don't know...they think it was a drug deal gone bad, and they made the story up to cover up their end of the deal. i guess time will tell. just thought i'd tell the local gossip as it paints an entirely different story.
Posted 01/21/2010 at 07:20:27 AMThank you, jaden. I was really hoping that for once we had heard a story of a mother standing up for her child when it comes to drugs. It is sad to think that they might have used that as a cover up for their own wrongdoing.
