"OK, several points to make here. There's a reason scissors are contraband in prison, they are weapons. If he had the blade pressed into her away from traffic, no one would've seen it.
"Witnesses stated they weren't sure if it was consensual, and interrupting anyone crazy enough to f*k in public is gonna get you hurt. Having said all that, you don't need guns to be decent ppl and see if someone needs help. I'd rather be in a hospital bed recovering from a punctured lung after trying to stop a rape than trying to forget what a douche I am every night before going to sleep for the rest of that life.
"Police mostly catch ppl who commit crimes. We are supposed to help each other prevent the crimes from happening in the first place. Just my luck after saying this, I'll see a crime and my scaley old brain will tell me I'm not actually seeing a serial killer, just some guy planting pumpkins in the road.
"The brain does weird things to you when it doesn't want to admit what it is seeing. Oh, last point."

I can't say how much worse things would be if that didn't happen. What if you had to decide to get an abortion? What if the guy had aids? Would I have to leave my family so they wouldn't get it? Terrible stuff. And these people don't stop at one person.
