Berenice Juarez, 16, Didn't Like Her Mom's Boyfriend, So She Plotted to Kill Him

That changed when Juarez texted 42-year-old Gilardo Ramos Paz, pretending to be her mother and asking that he meet her at a shopping plaza in Delray Beach, Florida. When Paz arrived, Juarez approached the car. He rolled down the window. Without a word, she plunged a knife twice into his chest.
Then she promptly went to school, even though she had blood on her sweatshirt. She told another brother at lunchtime that day that she had killed mom's beau.
Paz's body was later found in the shopping center parking lot. The cook was a father of five who sent money back to his family in Guatemala. They were unaware he was having an affair with Juarez's mom.
Juarez confessed to the murder, saying she'd been plotting for more than a week. According to police, all she said was that "she did not like her mom with him."
