There may be no greater feat of douchebaggery than to knife your sister and rape her as she dies. But Douchebag of the Week Steven Kelsey is not without competition. Say hello now to these not-quite-lovable losers...

5) Kathy Borrego

As bad as she was at balancing the books, Kathy Borrego was even worse at gambling.

The former business manager of the Jemez Mountain School District in New Mexico was found guilty last week of wiping out $3.4 million in school dollars between 2005 and 2009, much of which she blew on gambling and checks made out to friends and family.

"Ms. Borrego is taking responsibility for the allegations against her," her lawyer, Michael Jones, told the Rio Grande Sun. "She knows what's going on and wants to take responsibility for it."

Except for the part about payback, of course. All parties agree that the money is already gone, which may be why nobody bothered to seek restitution in the case.

Borrego, 51, was convicted on 11 charges including embezzlement and tax evasion, but could have faced countless additional charges. She's now looking at more than 41 years in the slam and a fine of up to $54,000 -- roughly 1/64th of her total haul over the last five years.

Charges against those who received checks from Borrego -- including her husband and her daughter's ex-boyfriend -- may still be forthcoming.

4) Michael Bowersock

All roads lead to Creeptown when Michael Bowersock is behind the wheel.

The 27-year-old bus driver from Fort Walton Beach, Florida, was arrested after a seven-year-old girl accused him of spanking her on multiple occasions before allowing her to get off the bus.

The girl was the last one off Bowersock's route, according to the police report. Before reaching her stop, Bowersock allegedly would pull over and either force her to pull her pants down or yank them down himself. He would then lay her over a bus seat and spank her bare butt gently with his hand. The girl would remain bent over until he arrived at her stop, at which point he instructed her to pull her pants back up.

The alleged spankings took place between October and January, though Bowersock has faced similar allegations in the past since his hiring in 2007: A six-year-old girl said he pulled up her skirt while buckling her seatbelt in 2008, and a five-year-old accused him of spanking her in early 2009. He avoided charges for both allegations because two traumatized kids are not considered evidence in the state of Florida.

Now Bowersock is charged with lewd and lascivious molestation and has been suspended without pay. He will appear in court on March 2.

3) Werner Lippe

Werner Lippe.jpg
There's an old axiom in the U.S. legal system that says once you've admitted to whacking your wife and rendering her into charcoal briquettes, reneging may not go so well.

New York jeweler Werner Lippe has learned this lesson amid his trial for murdering his wife.

When Faith Lippe disappeared during the couple's 2008 divorce proceedings, her husband claimed she had merely wandered off without a trace.

Within a month, however, he admitted three times -- twice to a friend wearing a wire and once to state police -- to killing his wife and rendering her into ashes in an oil drum.

"I hit her with a piece of wood...I dumped her in the barrel and burned her," a solemn Lippe could be heard saying on a recording played in court.

But at trial Lippe once again revised his story, this time saying he lied about Faith's death out of fear of being framed by investigators.

In the words of his lawyer, Lippe was "not mentally well" at the time of the admissions, which could possibly have something to do with the stress of having recently incinerated his lifetime companion.

A guilty verdict could net Lippe 25 years to life.

2) Phillip Dunn

It's beginning to look like married life doesn't agree with Phillip Dunn.

Police in Suwanee, Georgia, say the 28-year-old father of two met his estranged wife in a Walmart parking lot to swap the kids on a recent Sunday afternoon.

But the handoff escalated into a fight that ended with Dunn stabbing his wife, then turning the blade on himself -- all while the couple's two girls, ages 6 and 8, watched in horror.

When cops arrived, Dunn and his wife were on the ground while a child screamed "Daddy!" from inside their truck. A silver kitchen knife was found in the truckbed.

"I don't want to die," Dunn was heard mumbling as he lay bloodied on the ground, according to police.

For wife Shelley, it was too late: She was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Dunn was arrested the next day and charged with malice murder and felony murder. Those charges follow another arrest of Dunn only two weeks earlier, when he allegedly tried to choke his wife -- an incident that resulted in charges of aggravated assault and battery.

1) Steven Kelsey Jr.

Nobody parties like Steven Kelsey Jr., and for this we should all be most grateful.

Kelsey, 20, was found guilty of the rape and murder of his 17-year-old sister after a New Year's celebration in the first hours of 2009.

An army soldier on leave from boot camp in South Carolina, Kelsey was staying with his mother and stepfather at their mobile home in Highland Township, Michigan. As the festivities wound down, Kelsey stabbed his sister Jesika in the neck with a kitchen knife. When he saw that she was in pain, he tried finishing the job by thrusting a knife directly into her right eye.

As Jesika bled to death in the home, Kelsey attempted to have sex with her. He was arrested later that day when a backpack containing bloody knives and his Army ID was found in a nearby dumpster.

Kelsey will spend the rest of his life in prison, with no possibility of parole.

Oh yes, we've got more Douchebags: Matthew Higa Guilty of Throwing Child Off Bridge.
