Jebidiah Stipe Used Craigslist Rape Fantasy Ad to get Revenge on Ex-Girlfriend

• A bit late to the commenting, but just wanted to note that while it was on an SVU episode earlier this year, the Closer used the same gambit on an episode in 2005. Not that it matters much, but just in case anyone was curious. :)

• Yeah, Ryan, that sounds bad. Very bad. Just how long does it take for one of your girlfriends to become an ex? Maybe they're picking up on something you're unconsciously putting out there?

• I was going to say "this should make people think twice" But nah, someone will do it again.There are twits everywhere.

• I find it odd that the girlfriend happened to see this on craigslist. Seems like a really strange coincidence. I find Stipe's post on craigslist somewhat humorous, but the fact that someone actually DID rape the girl really shows how dumb some people can be.

• @ daisy I was actually being sarcastic about the whole ppl vs. people thing I do it myself sometime however the guy was commenting on people's grammar and typo's and made SEVERAl of his own. ABout what you said I thought the exact same thing at first it was like the guy thought he was actually talking to the girl, then the detail's got sketchy as to whether or not they "cooked" this up amongst the two of them (Stipe and McDowell)

• I don't think the use of "ppl" is inappropriate since this is a texting community. But does anyone find it interesting that Stipe and McDowell exchanged emails discussing all aspects of the assault, yet earlier in the article Stipe says he thought he was communicating with the ex and was fulfilling her fantasy? That should have clued him in. Does anyone else agree?

• I used to live in Casper, WY and I worked with Ty for 3 years. He seemed like a nice guy. Until this happened. It amazes me that a married, church-going man with 2 small children is capable of something so twisted. It sickens all of us. I read that at the arraignment on the 9th he pled "not guilty". So now, the court system can drag people out of their jobs to sit on a jury, listen to the testimonies and still give him life in prison where he belongs. He's already admitted that he did it. I'm guessing he pled to "not guilty by reason of extreme stupidity". I'm also guessing his parents are none to happy with him, because nobody's bothered to bail him outof jail since December when this happened. His wife packed up the kids the next day and left town. Smart woman.

• There are so many typographical errors and misuses of the language in the comments here that I want to cry. I realize you could not wait a second to act holier-than-Jebidiah, but ppl? oh, and in case you have forgotten the third grade, they are called commas. Hope on board.
