The good people of South Hadley, Massachusetts have finally had their way. Two students have expelled for their role in the non-stop bullying of 15-year-old Phoebe Prince, who ended up committing suicide over the ordeal...

She was found hanging at home after she faced relentless bullying from fellow students who called her an "Irish slut" for dating a senior football player. They taunted her on Facebook and even posted derogatory comments after she died. The Irish girl had only been in America for a few months since her parents moved to Massachusetts.

So people in South Hadley responded en mass, holding protests and showing up at school board meetings demanding the resignation of the principal and school superintendent, contending that bullying was endemic at the school.

A month later, school officials have announced that at least two students have been expelled. Others have apparently left the school voluntarily. No names or the number of students have been released, but it seems administrators have finally gotten the message.
