Shawn Armstrong, 1st Grade Teacher, Charged with Killing Estranged Husband Maury Armstrong

• Yes, she had been target practicing on private property when Mr. Armstrong came to the site let the air out of her tire and then came back a second time. Again, she was acquitted by a jury of 8 men and 4 women of all charges. The jury deliberatyed only about an hour and came back finding that she acted in self defense.

• She was acting in self defense. She was acquitted of all charges.

• Ms. Armstrong was found Not Guilty on all charges in this case by a jury of 8 men and 4 women on July 7, 2011.

• I also knew Maury and Shawn personally. And I knew Shawn to be a kind, loving wife that let Maury get away with everything. He was out every weekend partying, drinking and hitting on other women while Shawn stayed home caring for the kids and home. Maybe things had changed since I havent seen them in a couple yrs but that was the situation at that time. In fact, Maury constantly stopped by my house purposely when my husband wasnt home. He would use any excuse to get into the house and make his move on me. I finally had to tell my husband to tell him not to come over anymore when my husband wasnt home. In fact, his own cousin testified that Maury ran to her, threw her against the car and yell just shoot me! He was looking for trouble to even go back there in the first place. Shawn had enough! Enough of the cheating, lies, abuse and now her kids have been turned against her. Well, I dont condone murder either but in the heat of the moment-things happen. And I dont believe this is the first occasion of physical abuse from Maury. Shawn just didnt broadcast it to everyone. It made me sick to see a memorial flower in Church for him today. I fully support Shawn and always will.

• Honestly its sad that people would joke about a situation like this. I knew Shawn and Maury personally. Maury was very dedicated to the military and to his children. Along with the depression of losing his wife, which he loved very much, he was also dealing with the fact that months prior to the incident, he was driving his company truck on Hwy. 43 and because of the blinding sun he did not see 2 women pushing a car out of the highway due to the fact their car had stalled and slammed into the vehicle pinning the women between his truck and the car. Two of the women died therefore leaving him to also deal with the fact he had accidentally murdered two innocent women. So on top of the depression of taking 2 lives he was also dealing with a cheating wife that he deeply loved and tried everything to fix. Shawn always seemed to be off her rocker. I know because I have hung out with her on several occassions, and believe me when I say, she was not a faithful women and had been looking for any reason to get rid of her loving husband. They both had their wrongs, but she was completely aware of what she was doing when she pulled that trigger. Not only do I feel sorry for a great man that lost his life, but I also feel sorry for their 2 boys and his little girl which was his world. She deserves to be in jail, especially since on several occasions she would show up at my ex's house with all 3 of her children in the car and brag about how she was riding around drinking because she was bored. What a great mother to ride around and get plastered with your children. I hope she rots in prison for what she did.

• Yes, they found his body this afternoon. He committed suicide. They're not saying how, but it's pretty clear from what they have said that he hung himself from a tree.
