A Reader's Story of a Power Hungry Judge Who Screwed the Jury to Ram a Case Through

​Reader J responds to Carmela Khury Gets Jail Time for Bringing Her Kids to Jury Duty. She recalls a similar incident when she was on jury duty and a judge forced them to stay late, screwing mothers on child care and having their cars locked up for the evening...

"I swear, some of these judges are high with power. I was on a jury once and the judge insisted we would seat a jury that day, no matter how late we had to stay.

"He wouldn't let anyone make a phone call, either, until one woman became nearly hysterical wanting to call the daycare center where her children were and make arrangements for someone to pick them up (we were supposed to have been done at 5, didn't actually get to leave until after 7). Several jurors even had their cars locked in the parking lot b/c we were there after security went home!

"Was there any punishment? NO!

"I am glad to see that someone is holding this judge accountable for treating jurors like we have nothing better to do than serve them. And I hope his constituents vote his power hungry, swelled head out of office."
