Alyssa Bustamante's Lawyer Wants Girl to Wear Own Clothes in Court; Jurors Sympathetic to Emo Wear?

• Alyssa is a sick and perverted being. No money or resources should be spent on her incarceration. She should be executed for her crime and we should be done with her. What a piece of human garbage Alissa is! I hope she rots ion hell!

• No. I refuse to have sympathy for that beast. My sympathy is reserved for the little child she butchered like an animal for fun, and for the victim's family. Alyssa can rot in hell, and you can hire her to babysit YOUR kids Scot.

She will be allowed to wear her own clothes b/c all other defendants in high profile cases have been allowed to wear street clothes for their court appearances. Making her appear in jail clothes gives the impression of guilt before the trial. And to all of you who think she should get life? • Thanks Pete glad to see justice will be served for the little girl and very glad to no the USA does not go soft on young offender's like we do in the good old UK!! not sure if ya aware of the Jamie Bulger story and this weeks recent development's but it's been front page news over for the past week and has only gone and proved that soft sentencing for young offender's does not work!!

• She's being tried as an adult, Bex, so she could get up to life in prison. But the sentencing of juveniles in adult court here can swing pretty wildly from state to state, judge to judge. In this case, however, she's admitted to killing a little innocence girl just to see what it felt like, so I'd be surprised if she got anything less than 20-25 years. And in rural Missouri, there's a very good chance she'll be sentenced to life.

• Beans i was not suggesting she should be treated differently cause she was 15 when she committed the crime!! i was simply asking if it will be a factor in her sentence since i am from the UK and not sure how America handles juvenile cases!

• I don't think she should be able to wear her own clothes. Do people who are being held in jail until trial normally get to wear their own clothing? What is her "emo clothing" gonna do for her? The fact is that she killed a 9 year old girl for no other reason than to know what it felt like. This girl is going down.

• I don't see why Alyssa can't wear her own clothes to Court as long as she looks presentable. If you read the article her attorney believes her emo clothes will gain sympathy from the jury. I think he's nuts, Pete you wrote the article and I'm guessing you think along the same lines. If I were on the Jury and saw a 15-16 year old dressed like that I would assume punk.
