Daillard Paris Kills Thief. Lesson: Do Not Try to Steal Ex-Marine's Car
Former Marine Daillard Paris briefly left his car running Saturday night as he stopped in to see his family in Queens. Neighbors saw 50-year-old Yaosse Agbokou try to steal the Nissan Altima. He attempted to drive away, but got stuck in the snow...
That left Paris (pictured above) enough time to bolt from the house and grab Agbokou. The thief tried to punch and bite him. But while Paris is a financial analyst by trade, the ex-Marine is also 6-foot-3 and weighs 240. Let's just say he's not a man to be trifled with.
Paris put him in a headlock -- one that got a bit more neck than head. By the time police arrived, Agbokou was unconscious. He later died at the hospital. The medical examiner has ruled the cause of death as "compression of the neck."
Paris has not been charged with the death and it will likely be ruled self-defense.
Moral of the story: If you're gonna steal a car, try to steal it from an insurance claims adjuster of a pharmaceutical company CEO. They're generally not very good at headlocks.
