Like any good capitalist, 27-year-old Gwendolyn Lowery identified a market need and filled it. There was an inadequate supply of low-cost strip joints catering to teen and preteen naked women enthusiasts in Cheraw, South Carolina. So Lowery decided to meet that demand…
She set up a living room strip joint in her trailer home, replete with stripper pole, then marketed her services for the low, low prices of $5 for a lap dance and $20 for a “VIP special.” What the VIP special exactly entailed, we’re not sure. At these rock-bottom fees, she couldn’t the extra paper to spell out her services in detail.
The discount nakedness naturally brought in a clientele traditionally short on discretionary spending funds. Namely: boys 12-19. But her neighbors in the trailer park apparently weren’t happy with the boisterous events taking place in Lady Gwendolyn’s shack. They called police.
When lawmen arrived, they found the fair maiden stripping for eight teenagers. Her price list was scribbled out on paper, though there’s no word on whether this was done in crayon or a No. 2 pencil.
She was charged with eight counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, plus a liquor law violation.
