Wait, she didn't know she was having a baby? What?! I've never had a baby, personally, but last I knew, it wasn't something that you just do and then walk away. Aren't people usually pretty tired, definitely not in the "party mood."

Tara, I assume that every pregnancy is different. If she didn't know she was pregnant, the baby may not have been healthy, and she could have very well delivered early. If the child is premature or otherwise very small, her pain may not be as bad as a baby that is larger. I can't imagine that she wouldn't be tired or in pain, but I can't vouch for everyone's labor.

That makes sense. I can understand that some people's deliveries are different and certain circumstances change the outcome. But there are other things I wonder about. Don't you hafta cut an umbilical cord? Wouldn't there be a lot of blood and other fluids, no one noticed that in the bedroom?

Hey Tara-I've had a baby, have known many women that have had babies and I DO NOT know how this could happen. This woman must be COMPLETELY deranged to not know she had a baby. Mental health issues to say the least...holy crap. She had the presence of mind to put it in the trash can? I am dumbfounded.

The umbilical cord would be attached to the after birth. It would not necessarily have to be cut. If the baby was premature (small), It might come out in as little as 10 minute without much pain. I've heard of that. A few, very few, women do not know they are pregnant. If she was developmentally disabled that may be the case.

Why prosecute? Abortion is mostly legal. She just did it herself. I've heard abortion proponents advocating abortion right up until the time of birth.

A guy is involved, but no guy responsibility. What can you say? If she has mental issues, then can she give consent for sex?

I feel like I'm not experienced enough to give my opinion having never gone through labor, but at the same time, I have some serious issues with the story. I've heard about a show called "I didn't know I was pregnant" and I've always questioned how they didn't know. Granted, if the baby was VERY premature, thats one thing. But after you have the baby, I feel like your body would be going through things that would not allow you to just go party it up some more. Even if this girl had serious mental issues, there still got to be more to the story. Hopefully Pete will keep us updated.

She may not have know she was pregnant, but when she went into labor and pushed there is something called an umbilical cord that is connected to her and the baby. What a scum bag. Not only would she have know that she just had a baby there would have been one hell of a mess. Her water would have broken, blood? Poor little baby.

How old was this girl??? Not that it really matters but she must have a serious mental illness and not your treatable bipolar type. The party goers must not be that bright either if nobody knew a girl was in labor. When I was a resident I once heard of a lady who was in labor but swore she didn't know she was 7 months pregnant. This story just sounds like this girl has social, mental or any other problem than medical. But I could be dead wrong. Sad poor baby.

Tara, I didn't know I was pregnant til I was almost 6 months along. There were signs and symptoms, but those could be explained away. Morning sickness? I was under A LOT of stress at the time, so I thought it was because of that. Gaining weight? I couldn't find a job so I watched my oldest neice for my sister and brother-in-law. I just chalked it up to not doing much. Plus it was winter and people usually gain weight during the winter! Not being "normal" on the girlie thing? Never have been. Not to gross out any guys or anything, but I never have been normal. Its "normal" for me to only have one or two cycles a year. So, I didn't really think much. When I started lactating, I was curious, as was my mom and sister. But, I had taken pregnancy tests and they were all negative. It wasn't til I was at a friends apartment hanging out and watching movies that I saw something move across my stomach. One of my friends who had 3 children said I needed to take another pregnancy test. I took 5 before I told my family! It took hearing the heartbeat and then the sonogram of my daughter before it actually sunk in!

While every pregnancy is different, most births aren't. The actual labor might be, but the end result is the same. A baby is born. I'm finding it hard to believe that she gave birth and no one noticed anything. That and she went back to the party. Those just boggle my mind. I'm gonna be interested to see how this story ends.

Yeah I got to agree with you maria, maybe the first few months but not the birth. I knew I was pregnant right away, I didn't show until I was 7 months. A women knows she's having a baby during labor. Even a dog has the instincts to give birth. She sure wasn't mentally ill or slow enough to throw the baby in the garbage or go back to the party. She also was smart enough to clean up right after the birth in the bathroom at the PARTY so no one would notice the birth and go back and join the other guest as if nothing happened. I return to this site because of the different stories that catch my interest. I just read a horrific story about a girl, age unknown, mentally incapacitated or not, that gave birth to a human being in a home where a party was in progress. So as I read the story I knew that I wanted to comment on the situation. As I got to the comment segment, there were indeed a few comments concerning the story, but mostly, this forum has turned into the 'Mr. Bill Mancock show', once again. As obvious as the nose on anyone's face, this is what turns W. M. on. It's his main objective, which he achieves by insulting other bloggers, and using vulgar words. Some will say that they know exactly what Mr. Mancock is doing, but not lashing out at him is near impossible if the insults, stupid comments, and vulgar words are directed at Y.O.U. This is exactly why Mr. Bill uses these methods; because they WORK! Once again, practically the entire comment forum is devoted to, not the horrific story we've just read, but to the going back and forth about Bill on the 'Mr. Bill show'! His method is to distract commentators from commenting on the story, and put the focus on himself by his usual methods because, time after time, they work, dead on. I'm not going to stop coming to this site to read the stories that interest me. I refuse to be run off. Instead, from this comment of mine forward, I will no longer take space up to expose Mr. Mancock and his methods. I will no longer read the back and forth bickering about Mr. Cock and all the others. It angers me that some people are so unhappy with their real lives that they come on here to purposely make others feel bad about themselves just so that they can feel better. Wow ok first of all the story....I think there some key things missing here for me to draw any conclusions, if the baby was born alive and she did nothing to tell anyone then yes she needs to be punished, but there are'nt enouph details to be sure. I have a cousin who went into labor & delivered a full-term baby, claimed she had no idea she was pregnant. Granted she was a lardo to begin with, but she got much bigger in the stomach. She claimed the movement of the baby was severe gas. YEAH!! I never believed she had NO IDEA she was pregnant. Same thing with some girl my sister worked with. Delivered as a full term baby, claimed the baby kicking & moving was indigestion. Never believed that one either, everyone at work were pretty sure she was pregnant the last couple months as her stomach was swelling.

I don't know but having a baby is pretty intense you would think she would be in so much pain from the labor she would want some help. The Police said there may have been mental issues with her. She couldn't have been that distraught to clean up the mess and throw the baby away and go back to the party as if nothing happened. I hope the baby was dead I really wouldn't want to see the baby suffer.

I have given birth- there was no way to mistake labor for anything but LABOR even though I had never had a child before of course I also knew I was pregnant.

The last time I commented on this story, there were like 5 comments. I come back after the weekend and there are 90. I love when people have nothing better to do than this. Makes my Monday a little better to read all these comments. I'm not siding with anyone, but I do think that some commenters are ALWAYS in the middle of some bitchfest that could easily be stopped. But they keep it going, and then complain about how long it lasts.

Lets be Civil to one another,
I have had the privileged of posting on TCR, I have had my ups and I have had my downs. My kid and her class-friends(I could kill them)used TCR for their project and Pete allowed me to come back. “Thank You again.” I have said shitty things to people on TCR, as other people have said shitty things on TCR as well. And a lot of times it was fun. Debating back and forth with our differences of opinions gets intense. But when some people and we all know who you are and you KNOW who YOU are gets nasty about spelling errors, name calling not just name calling F..., C...., how stupid we all are how fat our momma's are, my dog bigger than your dog; It's hurting people in a bad way. I don't like pointing people out but Bill STOP, Rocki STOP, MCR=Fool=? STOP, Evie STOP, if I have hurt someone I will STOP, the point is we all know when we are getting down and dirty to hurt someone. Lets all STOP HURTING EACH OTHER and get back to debating the issues without killing one another.

Pete is there something wrong with the website? My computer is slow but it's okay I know you took down a lot of comments but when I go to post my comments won't post I have to keep re-entering them and most the time they don't do anything. I look on the right side of the screen to see what people posted and when I went to click on the story the post isn't there. Is it the Site or my Computer? I really can't afford another one.

Bheobe, that's funny you said that, how did she cut the umbilical cord? With her teeth? Wouldn't the doctors at the hospital have noticed how it was cut? She's crazy like a fox! She just didn't want the baby, that's what I'm think.

I used to work with this girl. I'm not surprised she did what she did. It was hell working with her, at an after school program of all places! She claimed to not like children as well. I haven't seen her in two years, but it's a shame this had to happen. I understand she could have surrendered her baby at the fire station, or even call the paramedics if she truly did not know she was pregnant. She's bat shit crazy! I'm not surprised, but very saddened.

BTW, if anyone is interested, the autopsy report came out today for the baby. The baby is said to have been alive before it died of asphyxiation. This case is being treated as a homicide and there haven't been charges filed as of yet- but i hope the CUNT rots in prison.
