Josh Powell Visited Strip Joint After Murdering His Wife, Say Witnesses

​So far, it seems Josh Powell has gotten away with murdering his wife in suburban Salt Lake City. Susan Powell went missing three months ago after Josh claimed to have taken their young boys out camping at midnight in freezing temperatures...

Since then he's lawyered up, refused to talk to police, moved away to Washington state, and has shown no interest in taking part in the search for Susan.

​Most mysterious are his actions in the days after she disappeared. He rented a car and put hundreds of miles on it, but won't say where he drove. Now workers and patrons at the Duces Wild strip joint say he showed up there the day Susan went missing.

A bartender, a bouncer, and a club regular all say they saw him that day. He arrived on the afternoon of December 7 and was acting like an asshole, complaining loudly about the bad day he was having.

"He was belligerent to the other patrons and the girls at the bar," a worker told ABC-4. "He just kept saying over and over, 'I've had a really bad day' and 'I've got a story to tell," but refused to elaborate.

It seems he was such a dickhead, the whole joint applauded when he left around 4:30 that afternoon.

Friends aren't buying the story, saying it would be unlike Josh to go to a strip joint. Then again, they also thought it would be unlike him to kill his wife. But it remains to be seen what he did with his young sons while he was in the bar.

Josh has also launched a web site to purportedly help with Susan's search -- you can see it here -- but it seems more designed to make him look like a loving husband and father. Here's a passage he's written about himself:

Josh is a loving father and husband. He likes to take his wife out to dinner or watch movies with her. He regularly does activities with his beautiful wife and with his entire family. Josh is totally committed to his wife and children, continually finding new and engaging activities to do with them.

Very creepy.
