As always, we all need to be careful about generalizations, because all generalizations are false. But when an individual is as criminal as this Boullard jerk, then I agree with all of you--throw the book at him. Which is what the judge just did--Hooray! Thermometer stabber sentenced to more than 40 years in prison January 21, 2011 | 1:17 pm A man who stabbed a moviegoer in the neck with a digital thermometer at a Lancaster showing of the horror movie "Shutter Island" was sentenced Friday to more than 40 years in state prison. Landry Boullard, 40, was convicted last month of one count of willful, deliberate, premeditated attempted murder; two counts of assault with a deadly weapon; and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon. L.A. County Superior Court Judge Hayden Zacky sentenced him to a minimum of 40 years and four months in prison and ordered him to pay $21,000 in restitution to the victim. Boullard lashed out with the digital thermometer during a packed showing of the Martin Scorsese movie in February 2010 after the victim complained that Boullard's female companion was talking too loudly on her cellphone. After the complaint, Boullard, the woman and another man left the theater, and a few minutes later, Boullard returned with the thermometer. He left the victim in a coma with a brain injury, said Deputy Dist. Atty. Robert Sherwood. Two good Samaritans who intervened in the attack suffered minor injuries.

Go back to your threesome with Peter & Brian Seth, you have not been missed.

Jabbermouths in movie theaters get pretty defensive if you say anything to them about it.

I used to live in the A.V.for 25 years....and moved away a year ago...what a nasty place it is...full of gang members and crime...you can thank Mayor Jim Ledford for the demise of the Antelope Valley...I will never go back to that area...bad bad bad!!

Gentleman i agree also. I further more would like to add that guy is a shithead.
-
Huh- No hostile arguing? I am surprised. Guess this story didn't attract some of our more.... I'll just say "colorful" fellow-posters.
-
Hey Lex-I agree with you all the way. Hey Bheobe-I agree with you also, I was tough on my daughter too and it paid off.

Oh! my sides *laughing* ...No- it's not funny. That IS good to hear there are other parents out there that still RAISE their children for tomorrow instead of just to get through the day. GOOD for you! And there should be more parents willing to take steps like you did. I look at my peers and so often I am SO disgusted I almost become nauseous. The most simplest of tasks CAN NOT be handled by the general work force. It is super disappointing. I really do not understand how the world even FUNCTIONS so full of losers. It makes me angry that I am to accept a lower level of conduct in every day life than I expect from myself!

Lex and Bheobe, You two have hit the nail on the head!!! It makes me feel good that there are people out there with a good head on their shoulders! I have SOOOOO many comments I'd like to make regarding this story, but my anger at this type of behavior and the terms I would use to describe these douche bags would definately get my comments removed. Lex, keep up your way of thinking, hopefully more people will catch on!

Bheobe, I live in L.A. county, I did one better than say "Do you want to be like THEM", although I do use that litany with my 12 year old son. I, actually, took him to Skid Row and showed him what happens to 'people' who fail at life. He was appalled and frightened and REFUSED to get out of the car. The smell wafting through the air vents was the final straw for him. He went home and did homework and started studying for a test and is determined to do well (which he's always been an average student in a school where a 'c' is an 'a' anywhere else) because he now considers his "b' average not to be good enough. I'm thinking of taking him to the Museum of Tolerance next...

This guy is a total douche! So is the chick with him that talked on her phone through a movie. I'm glad he was caught, but I am left with one burning question... Why the hell would you carry around a meat thermometer?! I mean, really... must be his "make a shank out of anything" prison mentality.

Bheobe- well I'll tell ya Lex. There are going to be comments to your's and my posts, they will not be nice. Get ready for the barrage. But before that happens I would like to say: I totally agree with you. I have always been firm in my belief of the ripple effect of the breakdown of the nuclear family. Average was NEVER an option to me. I constantly yell at my kid like a drill-Sargent, "Do you want to be like THEM!" It is so sad that 'good work ethic' has become part of my resume.... sounds strange to me, but that is a skill that is like common sense: you assume everyone had a good amount of it. I guess I should be more surprised that the lack of the two on the general public still surprises me :/ I feel much much older than my 30 years (well- I will be 30 in a few days)

Bheobe, When WE, the taxpayers, started to pay for the welfare loafers to out breed us. When our government let 20 million 3rd world low life's invade our country with, if they are lucky, third grade educations and can't read and write in English, much less in Spanish. They too are out breeding us. When parents gave up being parents and instead choose to be 'friends' with their kid. When schools LOWERED their standards and the kids now graduate as functioning illiterates. Pick from above, it's any and all... Hope someone shanks this guy on the prison yard and the guards look the other way...
